Hello, I received a notification that my account is at risk of deactivation - Inform Consumers Act. The Tax ID number is still in the process of verification. I received an email that the verification is complete but passed 24 hours, and the message that the account is still at risk is active. There is no place to upload whatsoever and there is no requirement for that. Just he clock for verification of the tax ID number. Could you assist what to do, did you have a similar experience, or I am missing something required to upload...

Hi @Seller_Sr28YqWgld0ps,
I see you've received confirmation that your tax verification is complete, but you're still seeing the INFORM Consumers Act risk warning. I think I can help explain what might be happening here.
Looking at the INFORM Consumers Act help page (link), there are actually two separate requirements that need to be completed. Under the "Account deactivation and reinstatement" section, it mentions that your account can be deactivated for not completing either the verification OR certification steps.
Even though your tax verification is complete, you might still need to complete the certification process. Here's what you could try:
Head over to your Account Health page and look for "Reactivate your account" at the top. From there, you should find the reactivation steps to follow.
Once you've completed both verification and certification, the help page mentions it typically takes 48-72 hours for account reinstatement to take effect.
Best regards, Michael
Hello, how long did it take to verify your tax number?
First of all, everyone calm down. I also received this warning as of yesterday. I am a seller who has all the documents in place and does this job professionally. If many sellers receive this warning and there is no way to solve it, it means there is a glitch in Amazon software. I am sure that software engineers are working on this issue and will fix it as soon as possible.
What I am wondering here is, will Amazon, which penalizes sellers for the slightest mistake, take responsibility after this disturbing mistake?
What will Amazon, which only penalizes sellers for delayed deliveries due to the carrier's mistake, do for such a big mistake?
Here, the problem of trust arises. For example, we pay Amazon for advertising and are these ads really visible to buyers?
Hello @Seller_Sr28YqWgld0ps,
Thank you for bringing this to our attention on the Forums. I see you are struggling and frustrated with the Inform Consumer Act. Despite completing the tax information successfully you continue to see the "In Progress" and you are seeking guidance to ensure your account will not be deactivated due to this.
After discussing with our teams, we have reached out to the responsible area to review. I do not have a time frame for resolution so I appreciate your patience during this process. Please continue to monitor your account and notifications. When I receive additional information, I will reach back out.
Thank you for reaching out on the Forums.

Hello @April_Amazon
I have the same problem. The Tax verification was completed and accepted by Amazon on 13th January. After one month, we get this unfair banner “your account is at risk of deactivation”. I have more than 50 boxes to ship to Amazon warehouses but I am waiting for a resolution.
Can you please escalate this issue, my case id is 17243226141.
Best regards and take care.
we are solved it now.
