Amazon steal products to sell for themselves

Is amazon basically certain death for most sellers? I've seen so many products sell super well from a small business for amazon to take the data and go straight to the manufacture and push the original seller out. Even if the price by the other seller is lower they put theirs on the main page. Is this happening to any of you? They have taken about 5 of our top selling products for themselves so just curious if any of you have experience this?

You've only been around for a year or so from the looks. This has been a topic of conversation (and Government investigations) for probably a decade and more.

It's nothing new and you have to adapt and sell elsewhere as well -- LOTS of other places!
