Find small businesses using new Small Business Search filter

by News_Amazon

We’re excited to announce the official launch of the Small Business Search filter. This feature makes it easier for customers to discover products from small-business brands and artisans on Amazon.

When a customer’s search results include eligible products from small-business brands, the new filter will appear under Business type in the customer’s search filter options.

Any small-business brand that meets the Small Business badge criteria, and has the badge featured on their products in search or detail pages, is eligible for inclusion in Small Business Search filter results.

As a consumer, I want to know where the product is made. Please add the County of Manufacture to your search filters.

Shoppers and sellers both keep asking for a Country of Origin filter in search.

It regularly gets the highest votes when asked here. I want to know what agreement Amazon has with a country or manufacturer that keeps this very requested item off the platform.

But at the same time you are giving discounts to sellers importing items directly from china to FBA which in fact is likely putting small American business out of business!

I have noticed “small businesses” on this platform claiming to be a brand owner when they legally do not own or manufacture what they claim is their brand. What does Amazon do to insure the brand owner is the manufacturer of the product or can anyone claim brand ownership?

Not only giving them shipping discounts but also encouraging and helping Chinese factories steal US IP and businesses by just ignoring complaints from rightful owners.

Love how you can have 100 employees and generate 50 MILLION a year and get a special mom and pop style 'Small Business' badge.
