We sell glassware primarily and pay Amazon to prep units in FBA. Lately, we have several units of several different SKUS that follow a progression of going from Warehouse Damaged --> Inspected and Disposition Corrected --> Defective --> Inventory Disposed
IF I open a case, Amazon answers with "We have a right to destroy any defective merchandise" but we know the merchandise is new, not defective, and prepped by Amazon. Its like they know they broke it, but Billy at the warehouse will get in trouble if he marks it Damaged by Amazon, so they are told to switch it to defective.
We cannot obtain proof it was defective or that there was anything wrong with it, as once Amazon disposes it I cannot even remove it for inspection.
Any insight would be great.
Greetings,
Do you have an example of a recent case where this occurred? I would like to review and see if there are options to escalate for potential reimbursement (if that hasn't already happened).
