ANOTHER INR, with a photo of the package on their porch

CAN SOMEONE please explain to me this scam? is it simply just ask for a refund a lie ? Package was NOT lost... that is OUR envelope of sample swatches on their stoop... AND AMAZON GAVE THEM AN AUTOMATIC REFUND... it is just samples but we wasted 8$ on shipping, and they got their samples free and of COURSE THEY DONT actually order a full yard of fabric.. this makes no sense.. congrats dude, you scammed yourself into a free $4 sample... i am sure your family is proud you loser.

Ill be honest. I feel like you got ripped off more with the shipping.

8 bucks to deliver this a stone throw away.

I can deliver this in 3 days from Texas for 4.39 and if I want ground 6.83.

They charged you 8 bucks and it was 2 day but that sucks because they only do weekday deliveries which means USPS ground or UPS could of easily made it there in the same amount of time at a lower cost :(

And that doesn't look close to 1 pound but I understand you have to tell FedEx pounds because if you don't it'll do OZ's and the will charge you an adjustment fee of 39.99 because they don't believe in the metric system... so good on you there.

sorry buddy

I CAN explain for you.

You are correct that the photographic evidence DOES prove that the package was Delivered, but it does NOT prove that the package was Received.

Amazon does not consider a package to be completely Delivered until it has been received by the Recipient.

Even a quick internet search will provide ample evidence of packages being stolen after Delivery but BEFORE the Recipient could get the package. These thieves are referred to as "Porch-Pirates".

So, IF a Buyer files a INR Claim with Amazon, Amazon has no choice but to Honor that Claim without outright calling the Buyer a Liar, which they will not do.

HOWEVER...

Amazon DOES provide Sellers with a type of "Insurance" against the Seller having to Fund such Claims. Here is all you need do:

1) ALWAYS PURCHASE POSTAGE USING "AMAZON BUY SHIPPING".

2) ALWAYS MAKE SURE THE PACKAGES ARE SCANNED INTO THE CARRIER'S POSSESSION BEFORE THE CLOSE OF THE "SHIP-BY" WINDOW SCHEDULED BY AMAZON.

3) ALWAYS RESPOND TO ANY BUYER MESSAGES WITHIN 48 HOURS OF RECEIPT (LESS THAN 24 HOURS IS PREFERRED).

IF you follow these procedures AND a Buyer files an A-Z Claim for INR, Amazon will Fund the Claim (not YOU), Amazon will NOT count the Claim against your Seller Metrics, and Amazon will protect you from retaliatory Negative Feedback.

It is a GREAT Deal, and will help you Sleep better.

Good Luck!

and you are wrong. we are not responsible for what happens to a package after it is marked delivered... there is no such thing as received... it is delivered, or not...

LOL!

And THAT is why you "Lost" the Claim.

You may THINK that, but you are in for a shocking surprise.

YES! You ARE responsible for the package AFTER it has been marked as "Delivered", at least on Amazon.

This is the very reason the Seller Protection Policy exists in the first place.

Perhaps instead of applying your OWN rules here, you might want to become familiar with Amazon's Rules for Sellers.

And for the record, NO, I don't think you DO "know this".

If you DID "Know this", you would have realized that the Buyer cannot be challenged the way you did, as you all but called them a Liar. Amazon takes a VERY strong position and harsh view on what you did, and it is absolutely forbidden.

And If you DID "Know this", you would have simply appealed, and "Won" the Claim. As it is, you never mentioned your compliance to the Policy, and YOU actually asked for someone to explain WHY you "Lost" the Claim.

Which I absolutely did.

IF you followed procedure and shipped within Seller Protection Policy, then Appeal and "Win". Why Post about it here?

If you were NOT compliant with the Policy, then you will "Lose" the appeal as you "Lost" the Claim.

AND if you continue in this manner, you will CONTINUE to "Lose" such Claims.

AND if you continue to treat Amazon Buyers as RUDELY as you did (in writing), I suspect you will one day find your 10 year Selling account Suspended

sounds like you are defending customers who commit this scam.

I am not defending anyone, but YOU are accusing someone without proper evidence.

What's more, even YOU cannot PROVE that this is a "Scam". It MIGHT have been stolen by a Porch Pirate. You cannot prove otherwise.

Unless of course you can provide Amazon with unbroken video footage from the point where the package was Delivered by the Carrier right up until it was RECEIVED by the Recipient (who may not even be the Buyer).

Since you seem so snarky and certain of your position, I am SURE you can provide this evidence, as it is the ONLY POSSIBLE evidence that the package WAS actually RECEIVED by the Recipient.

What's that? You DON'T have it?

I didn't think so...

Which means that EVEN YOU cannot PROVE that this was NOT Stolen before Receipt.

And since Amazon cannot prove this either, they side with the Buyer.

Finally, I did not create this Policy, I simply live by it. As an Amazon Buyer, I am grateful that IF a package left unattended is stolen before I get it, Amazon WILL always side with the Buyer.

As an Amazon Buyer myself, I am grateful that IF I do NOT receive my Amazon package, even IF it displays as "Delivered", that Amazon WILL protect me.

And as an Amazon Seller, we ALWAYS ship within Policy, and so we ALWAYS "WIN" every one of these Claims.

I wonder why we are always successful and you are not?

Maybe Amazon just likes us better.

You think THAT is the answer? I don't.

So again, IF you followed procedure and shipped within Seller Protection Policy, then Appeal and "Win". Why Post about it here?

I ordered a TV that came direct from an Amazon warehouse. It showed delivered WITH PHOTO, but I didn't receive anything. I recognized the photo to be of my next-door neighbors home based on the doormat. I walked over and there it sat on their porch. It happens, even with photo it may not be their house! Just for fun, I went through the entire process just to see if I was protected at all. FedEx took zero responsibility, Amazon was willing to eat it, well make the seller eat it.

Perhaps you can set your returns to Refund at first scan. Use Amazons shipping, ground should of worked for that small package.

This way, when this happens, there is no automatic refund. They would have to do an INR.

When this happens to me, I instruct them on how to get a full refund from Amazon. I explain they cover small sellers if they shipped & something went wrong after the postal system gets it. I still lose the original shipping, but not everything.
