Do not tell me to put my account on vacation mode that is a slap in the face we had no idea how bad it would be prior and never thought ALL of the major shippers would be closed today
I printed everything and its all ready to go but no where to drop it (drove around like an idiot to see everything closed)
This should be fun dealing with Amazon on this looks like everything will be open tomorrow but we are on amazon time here of course if its not scanned into today its screwed
I guess this depends on where you are, but last week I was reading predictions of record breaking snow totals in many areas. I know several sellers who put their store on Vacation last week based on the forecasts that were the top story on sites like CNN.
But don't worry too much; you will lose INR and OTDR protection, since you don't have a scan showing that it was in the system prior to the "Ship By" date; but I've had many times of packages getting picked up and not scanned until the next day (good ole' substitute carriers!), and never does that show up as "Late Shipment" on Amazon.
update --- JUST TALKED TO MY UPS DRIVER FINALLY—THIS IS THE FIRST TIME IN 32 YEARS UPS HAS CLOSED ON A BUSINESS DAY
except for Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve. my post office closed those days also. I was so angry. I worked for fifty years at regular jobs and never got those days off. haven't had any late packages though so at least that worked out.
USPS windows will still be open. I know because I have 2 feet of snow yesterday and although they werent delivering mail my local post master called me to be sure I knew that the windows would still be open for drop offs. Also there are UPS drop offs open. I have a grocery store that does UPS drop offs in my town and a small hardware store. Both were open yesterday and today. If you put some effort into it you will find places to take them
This is why we got a whole bunch of expedited orders to these areas Amazons trusty scamazon shoppers who will say did not arrive on time maybe if amazon was not run by bots they could alert customers in these areas oh wait amazon profits on scamming sellers out of product and tacking on more fees!
