Writing a Plan of Action for Late Shipment Rate

Hello, I recently have gotten a warning from Amazon about my late shipment rate. The cause of this was sometimes we would be out of inventory for products and this was not updated with our Amazon’s Inventory. So we would contact our supplier and try to expedite a shipment to us so that we could fulfill the order instead of cancelling the order, this would sometimes result in a late shipments.

Now the two solutions I have is to better update my inventory on Amazon to more accurately only see products that we can verify are in stock. (which I am in the process of doing and have set my account to inactive while I implement this fix).

And update my handling time for products to account for the lead time to purchase the product from my supplier.

I am not good at all at writing a plan of action, how would i use this information to successfully write a plan of action that Amazon will approve?

They are asking for this information:
More than 4% of orders were confirmed to have been shipped late. Late shipment rate should not exceed 4% and is calculated over 10 and 30 day windows. Amazon’s Late Shipment Rate Policy can be found at (https://sellercentral.amazon.ca/gp/help/200285190).

What’s next?
Send a plan of action within 72 hours that explains:
– The root cause(s) of the late shipment confirmations
– The actions you have taken to resolve the late shipment confirmations
– The steps you have taken to prevent late shipment confirmations going forward

I am sorry to hear that you received a pre-suspension notice from Amazon. You will need to write a Plan of Action, in which you tell them, what you have done to address the issue and how will you prevent this from happening again.

The appeal shouldn’t focus on specific orders but talk about the issue in general.

Here is an example POA for a suspension due to the Late Shipment Rate exceeding the 4% target. You can write a similar one based on it and then post it here for feedback.

Don’t copy the entire generic sentences but use your own words and talk about your specific situation:
