Customer bought and received product on time but requested a return and was supplied a return label. They didn't use the return label but instead filed a chargeback. There was not option for me to dispute this via online so I called and spoke to seller central and requested a dispute on the 14th of July... I had until the 20th. Amazon granted the chargeback and deducted the money from my account and a mark on my performance. This is not right and need help from a moderator to fix this error . I did everything I was suppose to do including messaging the customer and contacting seller central.
Why do you think messaging the buyer was necessary? Amazon tells you about the chargeback, asks you to provide all relevant information and then relays it back to the buyer's banking institution. If the bank deems the buyer is in the right, then Amazon will process the transaction to refund the buyer.
Hi @Seller_1rmRI97pyEB5T
A chargeback occurs when a customer disputes a credit card charge with their card issuer. The issuer then reverses the charge to the merchant's bank account. Chargebacks aim to protect customers from unauthorized transactions and fraud. However, they can also result from product issues, service complaints, or intentional chargeback by a customer despite receiving product/service. There have been a growing number of posts made here about what appear to be intentional chargebacks.
