Hi Sellers!
We have recently updated our Product Image Requirements page. Below find a breakdown of this page.
Product images are crucial for selling on Amazon, helping customers evaluate items. For detailed steps on how to upload images, go to Upload images in Image Manager.
Amazon has specific technical and content requirements for images to ensure quality and accuracy. Images that don't meet these standards may be rejected, removed, or altered. Non-compliant images can lead to product listing suppression from search results. When multiple sellers provide images for the same product, Amazon selects the ones that best meet their requirements to optimize customer experience.
Note: An ASIN must represent only one product, and must represent the same product in every store. It is a violation to change a detail page for a new product or version. For more information, go to Product detail page rules.
Technical Requirements:
Every product on Amazon must have at least one image. We prefer images to be larger than 1,000 pixels on the longest side to allow for zoom, which has been shown to enhance sales. We also prefer that images are provided in the JPEG file format. We recommend having at least six images and one video of the product.
All images must meet the following requirements:
Main image and all product image requirements:
You will find a detailed breakdown of the requirements for the main image, which is the first image on a detail page here. This is the image that shows up to customers in search results.
You will find a detailed breakdown of the requirements for all product images here.
Image examples and troubleshooting:
For detailed examples of correct images and common image issues:
Note: Uploading an image doesn’t guarantee that it will be displayed. When images are received from multiple selling partners, Amazon will select the images that meet the style guides and standards, providing the best experience for customers. It means that we may select images that are different from those provided by Brand owners.

I am reaching out here because I have an image suppression which is due to the "bot" and not our image. It happens every time we update our images. It happens because our gift baskets are comprised of a variety of products all of which have writing on individual items as part of their packaging and your bot doesn't like that. I opened a help case explaining this situation and that a human from Amazon has to actually fix this and not surprisingly I received an automated reply and zero indication my case was read, and it was definitely not escalated. Asking you to take the reins and put my case in the correct hands so I don't loose sales because of the "bot" programming and nothing done wrong on my end. Help case 16785554071
