Hi, my new AMZ account got approved on July 8, with updated credit card information (under a different name and address). 10 minutes later on July 8, I got e-mail with subject Action Required: Amazon seller account under review, additional documentation needed
Hello,
You are receiving this email because you recently applied to sell on Amazon or you recently changed information on your seller account.
**If you recently applied to sell on Amazon:** At this moment, we are not able to verify your account, so your account cannot be activated. We need additional documentation to verify your identity. Please follow the steps under “How do I proceed with my application or reactivate my account?"
**If you currently sell on Amazon:** For your security, we have suspended your Amazon seller account. We need to verify a change to your payment methods. If you did not make this change, contact Seller Support. During our review, you will not be able to sell on Amazon. Please ship any open orders. If you have any funds in your account, they will be available after any amounts paid for A-to-Z claims or chargebacks on your orders have been deducted. This usually takes about 90 days, but funds may be held longer.
**How do I proceed with my application or reactivate my account?**
1. Confirm you have a valid credit card on file.
2. Provide the following documents.
1. A bill that is dated within the last 90 days for piped or natural gas, electricity, piped water, or internet service with name and address visible.
2. Business license, if applicable.
3. Make sure the files are in .pdf, .png, or .gif format. These documents must be authentic and unaltered, and the name and address on the document must match the name and address you provided during registration.
4. Submit your documents by following this link ([https://sellercentral.amazon.com/performance/dashboard?ref=ah_em_comp](https://sellercentral.amazon.com/nms/sellermobile/redirect/f1d52808-84cd-3e37-8951-59953ddda3ed?sk=MY7YKp0afNJ7BBIPAilA_hBgl3soIm15sbAxYN30ACPdUbzy8COJKtZdCWfaQcufEsCCgg_Yr6mGXqOLHKGGqg&n=1&u=aHR0cHM6Ly9zZWxsZXJjZW50cmFsLmFtYXpvbi5jb20vcGVyZm9ybWFuY2UvZGFzaGJvYXJkP3JlZj1haF9lbV9jb21w)).
Once we receive your documents, we will review them and decide whether you may sell on Amazon again.
I have submitted a landline utility bill (my mother and my name on it), 2 bank statements with address and ensured credit card on file is under my name with matching address to utility bill. I got this file on July 10.
Dear $ Albert Hidajat,
We have reviewed the document(s) you recently provided but do not have enough information to reactivate your seller account at this time. We were unable to verify the document(s) you provided because they were illegible. During the review process, you will not be able to sell on Amazon. Funds will not be transferred to you but will be held in your account while we work with you to address this issue. Please ship any open orders to avoid further impact to your account.
Why is this happening?
Your Amazon seller account has been deactivated in accordance with section 3 of Amazon’s Business Solutions Agreement. If you currently sell on Amazon, we need additional documentation to verify your payment methods and your identity.
How do I reactivate my account?
Please confirm that there is a valid credit card on file, and provide the requested document(s) in .pdf, .png, .jpeg, or .gif format. These documents must be authentic and unaltered.
The name and address on the document(s) must match your name and address in Seller Central. Please certify that you have provided the document(s) in one of the supported languages. Supported languages include: Arabic, simplified Chinese, Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Spanish, and Turkish. If the documents provided are not in any of the supported languages, then the original document must also include a notarized translation into one of the languages mentioned above.
I then re-submitted just the same landline utility bill (2 months of bills JPEG, PDF) on July 13 and ensured credit card on file is with same name and matching address. And got this response on July 15.
Hello Cozy Oasis,
This is Yuri from Amazon’s Account Health Support team.

I may only have 1 last chance (given 3 previous failed submissions for the same case) so want to draft POA very carefully and submit a different utility bill (power, only with my name) with a business license document (created a sole prop for this). And just ensure credit card on file has matching address, but I do not think need to submit credit card / bank statements as not requested. Any advice?
@Oneida
Can please kindly help? Appreciate in advance
I think this will be better than the one with your mom’s name on it, too.
This should match your name.
Yes, match to the address on the utility bill.
I would not submit a bank statement or credit card statement because (as you said) this was not requested.
Your credit card on file in Seller Central must meet all criteria on these Help pages:
Thank you @Oneida . I have checked again and I think they did not accept my landline bill because they stated only piped utility / Internet.
I transferred piped utilities bill to my name but next bill is only 14 August earliest. There is an account opening statement from the utility company now, but I am not sure if that is ok for Amazon? Also 14 August is more than a month after initial Seller Performance notification that my account is under review. I don’t want to receive kiss of death before that. Thoughts? Appreciate your advice.
