Customers can now assign ratings without reviews, which is great to increase the number of ratings. However, I am unable to tell which ratings I receive and on which variation (for products with multiple variations under the same parent). I can assess the overall trend at a parent level from the overall score, but I can’t tell which product/variation got the last rating (w/o review). Also, given I already have +80 reviews, I can’t even tell if the rating was a 5* or 4* or even a 1*, as a single rating may not move the overall score enough to notice. Has anyone figured out how to assign ratings to child-ASINS and tell what the rating (w/o review) is?

Hi! I have the same question. Did you find any way to better quantify the ratings without reviews?
Good question, but there is no answer. We even called / ask support and they have no idea about
Very sad
The lack of response probably reflects the low importance Amazon attaches to reviews.
I did actually figure out a way to find out which ratings was assigned and to which product, but it is a bit painful and highly manual. I forgot to update this thread, sorry.
On the desktop version of Amazon.com (customer/buyer view) you select your child and then click on ratings like to see the details. You should get in the rating section where Amazon breaks down the ratings by star-rating. Click on any of these bars and you should get to the screen with “SORT BY” and “FILTER BY”. Under “FORMAT” you can select to show only reviews for that specific child and then you can toggle b/w ratings: 5-star, 4-star, etc… and take note of how many you have for each rating. You don’t have to count them as Amazon gives you the total just under the “FILTER BY” on the left. You can build a spreadsheet with all ratings for each child of your variations. Once in a while, as you get more star ratings, you can update the spreadsheet. As a shortcut, I use the Amazon mobile version to see for each child the rating count has gone up vs the spreadsheet and then I analyze that child to see which new ratings you got.
I hope this makes some sense to someone. I am not a great writer and it is a complicated manual process to explain. The short answer is - It is possible to determine which new ratings you got on which child of a family of variations, but it is highly manual and tedious unless some genius coder can automatize the process.
