Read onlyDear All,
I've decided to post this up upon seeing so many sellers posting up the sudden lost of buybox eligibility including us.
This keeps happening every 2 months and when it happens it's usually 2-3 weeks nearly and significant event like Prime Day July / October or upcoming Black Friday.
When it happens it can either be a sudden lost of buybox on almost all ASINs OR it'll begin with a handful of categories. If it begins with a couple of categories, then as the days past more categories are affected until more and more categories
You wonder what at the F*** is happening. You struggle to find out by checking all the boxes, from any outstanding major or tiny violations, to performance metrics (order defects, late, cancellations, etc) . Then you check your A to Z claims, chargebacks , negative feedback if any.
And when you finally conclude your account is in good standing and keep downloading and chopping up the reports, you can't figure out what is going on you get really angsty and nervous as to WT Fukashima is going on.
A number of these categories actually do okay and a few have been selling actively with a decent track record with little to no returns as well. You wonder how is this happening since those products have been performing decently.
You start to observe the patterns above and come to the conclusion that things are being manipulated by the the back end programmers t the extend that its really getting disgusting and hence start escalating in full and brutal details, seeing a pattern in each one of these sickening events.
This only started to happen in 2023 and in 2024 it became really rampant.
Do any of you observe teh same phenomenon? Lets share out findings and keep tagging the mods to make this issue as loud as possible until it explodes
completely lost the buybox 4 times this year, for absolutely no reason. Account health is a flawless 204, 0 violations, 0 A-Z claims, 0 late shipment, 0 negative feedback.
i own my own brand, there are no other sellers for it. why then, am I not eligible to be the featured offer on my own brand??? It makes absolutely zero sense. Sales have tanked again.
Seller support has never been any help. The only way to get it fixed is to make a post on the forums and have the mods escalate it.
Currently on day 10 of no buy box for the 4th time this year, waiting for seller support to tell me there's "nothing they can do" on my case so hopefully the mods on this forum can fix it again.
I means Amazon is telling you NO NO NO on sales they are doing it to all of us as they are manipulating the feed to drive customer to high profit high return high sales items as the slower it gets them more this will happen as this is not free & fair marketplace it is one sided. Like Vegas odd are stacked in favor of the house!
Good Morning @Seller_S9GHoSdpBtbtq,
Appreciate you sharing your experience with featured offer eligibility. It's a topic that we can only share as much as what is provided on the help pages. Basically, sellers must meet performance-based requirements to be eligible to compete for Featured Offer placement such as:
To ensure that customers have a great shopping experience and to guard against abuse, we remove eligibility based on account performance and other risk factors. (Note: Listings that do not win the Featured Offer are eligible for placement in the Other sellers on Amazon box. However, Amazon does not guarantee placement in either of these locations.)
Seller can find more coaching about How the Featured Offer works on this help page here. You can also check an ASIN or FNSKU’s eligibility on the help page too. Sellers can also view a video that explores Featured Offer strategies and tools linked here.
If you have worked with Selling Partner Support to have your ASINs reviewed for Featured Offer Eligibility but still have concerns, feel free to share your latest CASE ID and we would be happy to take a look and see what next steps we might be able to provide you with. Looking forward to hearing back from you soon.
Sincerely, Cooper_Amazon
Yes, same here! Amazon really needs to review its new algorithm, but I doubt that’s going to happen.
