Once one problem with shipping is finally resolved, Amazon causes another problem. I simply do not understand why this process is not cut and dry.
Customer ordered an item today. Total order cost including shipping is $22.99. The shipping time was calculated using USPS Ground Advantage.
The problem is when I go to purchase the shipping label, Amazon only offers Express Mail. Why is Ground Advantage offered? Express mail costs more than what the customer paid.
The only solution is to purchase shipping outside of Amazon which makes no sense at all. It's not worth reaching out to Support as the last issue I had with shipping label orientation took 3 MONTHS to resolve.
If you have any sort of automation turned on, TURN IT OFF.
Amazon is notorious for having different things in separate siloes; the time frame used for making a promise to a customer is not the same time frame that is used when telling you what speed of shipping you need to use.
You may also need to double check your shipping templates; Amazon has at various times in the past made changes to templates without notification or permission, even if you have all automation turned off.
Lastly, they have started "rewarding" sellers who ship quickly with changing their handling time to one day, with no way to change the default back to two days. The only solution is to set handling times at the sku level.
Hello @Seller_8k1nv5o8QEp0e. Is this a consistent issue you are experiencing with Shipping Settings Automation, or does it only happen occasionally?
There are sometimes differences in available options from the time that the service option is generated and when the seller attempts to purchase shipping. If you find this happening consistently without extended delays between the order and ship time, please file a support case with order/time details, and share that Case ID here so I can request it be reviewed.
