I have submitted every proof that these items are not pesticidal. We are registered by WERCSafe, this registration has been accepted by Amazon. I have uploaded the product labels and attached them to the case. I have attached the WERCSafe document indicating all ingredients and percentages. These products are for mold / mildew STAIN REMOVAL. Nowhere does it indicate that it kills (or any of the other keywords in FIFRA) mold / mildew. I cannot get anything more than the "canned" reply. Please help.
Case 17421998491.
Hi @Seller_mXX8uLIkNHwxJ,
I looked at Amazon’s 'Pest control products and pesticides' help page (link), and there’s a section under “Pesticide claims” that might be worth revisiting:
A product can be classified as a pesticide if it “claims, states, or implies, even indirectly, that it can or should be used to prevent, destroy, repel, mitigate, or take any other similar action against any kind of pest.”
Mold and mildew are explicitly listed as examples of pests, and Amazon states that these claims can appear anywhere on the listing — in the text, in the images, or both.
Even wording like “removes mold”, “resists mildew”, or “mildew-resistant” is enough to trigger classification, regardless of the product’s ingredients or EPA registration status. The page also notes that implied claims can lead to enforcement, even when the product isn’t labeled as a pesticide.
So while you’ve made it clear that your product is designed for stain removal, Amazon’s system may still be flagging it based on how certain terms are interpreted — especially if anything on the page could be read as addressing mold or mildew themselves, not just the discoloration they leave behind.
I realize that’s not a satisfying answer, especially when you’ve already done the right thing by submitting documentation. Just thought I’d share what the help page says, in case it helps frame the issue when reviewing the listing again.
Wishing you clarity (and a human response) soon,
Michael
