I dug through the help pages to try to understand what's happening here.
According to the "Common carrier correction adjustments" section, UPS applies an "over maximum charge" when any of these limits are exceeded:
Your photos clearly show the tent weighs around 25 lbs, not 157 lbs. However, looking at UPS's measured dimensions (93.0 x 10.0 x 28.0 IN), here's what triggered the charge:
Length + girth = 93 + (2 x 10) + (2 x 28) = 169 inches
This exceeds their 165-inch limit, which automatically triggers the charge regardless of weight.
You might want to measure your package to verify these dimensions. If UPS's measurements are incorrect, you'd have solid grounds for disputing the charge.
