Help me please

Hello, good afternoon, I am Gabriel and I have some questions that I would like to clarify with you. I recently started on Amazon, but every time I call with a question, I end up more confused than when I started because each agent gives me a different answer. My questions are as follows: Would you recommend sending my products directly to Amazon’s warehouses, even though I am not present in the United States? Also, I am having issues with suppliers because Amazon is very strict about dimension figures, and often, when suppliers send me the information, Amazon’s system marks that there is an error or some similar problem. My third question is: Would you recommend investing in a larger quantity of the same product or using the same amount of money to invest in several different products?

If I were you I would put your account on vacation mode and take a few days to go through seller university again. I know a lot of these questions can be answered on there. If you're planning to sell in the United States I believe you need to send your products to one of Amazon's US warehouses. You may want to start out with one product but I wouldn't recommend buying a huge quantity of it until you see how well it sells on Amazon. You definitely need to make sure you are sourcing your products correctly (from the brand itself, or a brand approved distributor.) If you go the distributor route you better make sure that distributor has a Letter Of Authorization to sell that product and that they supply you with a proper paper trail leading to it.

Hey Gabriel, good afternoon! I’d be happy to help clarify your questions. It’s completely normal to feel a bit confused at the beginning—Amazon can be complex, and sometimes you’ll get different answers from different support agents, which doesn't help. Let’s go through your questions one by one:

1. Can I send my inventory directly to Amazon even if I’m not in the U.S.?

Yes, definitely! You can send your inventory directly to Amazon’s fulfillment centers regardless of your location. I work with many sellers who operate from outside the U.S., and they successfully ship inventory in every week. The most important thing is to make sure:

Your products are labeled correctly with the FNSKU (you’ll get this from your Amazon Seller Central account).

You’ve created the shipment properly through Amazon’s workflow.

As long as everything is prepared according to Amazon’s guidelines, you don’t need to be physically present in the U.S. to run your business smoothly.

2. I'm having issues with suppliers and Amazon’s strict packaging/dimension requirements—what should I do?

This is a very common situation, especially when suppliers are not familiar with Amazon FBA standards. What works best is to clearly communicate Amazon’s packaging and carton requirements to your supplier upfront. Things like:

Maximum carton dimensions and weight limits.

Barcode placement and labeling.

Any palletization requirements if applicable.

I’ve helped many sellers resolve similar issues by working closely with suppliers to get everything aligned with Amazon’s standards. If your current supplier can’t follow these requirements—even after guidance—it might be worth looking into other options who have more experience working with Amazon sellers.

3. Should I invest in a larger quantity of one product, or test multiple products with the same budget?

From what I’ve seen across various accounts I manage, it's far more effective to test multiple products with small quantities first. This way you can:

Test different markets.

Identify which products have real potential.

Reduce risk and avoid getting stuck with unsold inventory.

Once you find a product that performs well, then you can scale up and invest more confidently. That’s how most successful Amazon businesses build sustainable growth.

Hope this breakdown makes things a bit clearer! With the right strategy and setup, selling on Amazon can be incredibly rewarding. Feel free to ask if you have more questions—happy to help however I can.
