I don't know how to describe the emotion I felt when I first saw the new Manage Inventory page, but obviously I couldn't get used to the new page. When I actually had to use the new inventory management page, I realized how bad the update was. It was a complete reverse update, adding some fancy useless features, making the whole page look very confusing, and I couldn't see the information I wanted to see all at once. I have encountered some problems in the process of using these days.
1. I can't update the price of multiple SKUs at the same time. When I update the business price, I have to open another drop-down box to see and update
2. There are also a lot of bugs. Although the display position of Sale Rank is given on the page, the correct Rank cannot be displayed, or even it is not displayed directly. I need to click every listing to check the real Sale Rank
3. When I create a new listing, when I click Submit, the prompt indicating whether the listing is successfully created will not be displayed as before. Nor can I see the SKU and title of the listing I just created, so I have to wait for a while to see whether it is created. Also, at some point I can't Save a listing Draft. When I click "Save as Draft", I can't see my saved draft on the "Complete Your Drafts" page.
I hope Amazon sees my questions. I still want to go back to the old Manage Inventory page.
Sale Rank seems to have completely disappeared from the New version and the "previous version" for me. Just a dash on everything. Anyone else missing that metric.
I hate it too. It's one of those if it's not broke, don't fix it situations. Ugh.
Yeah, it's a big step backward. So cluttered and buggy.
Programmers keep reworking the websites in order to keep their jobs. If the websites don't "need" revision, then what do programmers do for work??? That's my opinion. I prefer things to remain just about the same all the time, rather than requiring constant readjustments to keep functioning.
If you go to "Preferences," you can adjust your Column Display and the Sort Order. That's helped me immensely.
Obviously the programmers never were sellers or asked anyone who was.
I cannot agree more strongly. I cannot help but note it launched as a beta mid-summer, bring me to the conclusion (right or wrong) that some college intern was assigned it as a project. Wish they had been a seller so they could have realized prior to launch how flawed and useless it would prove to be. It is so CLUTTERED, without the intuitive factor being exercised. Like most others, I am confounded by the reason for doing it at all. Was there a mass outcry of sellers demanding a new format?
For the most part, in fact all that I can recall over 20+ years of amazon selling, updates to seller pages have been logical and helpful. This cluttered mess defies logic. My experience tells me an update will be useful, but this time, it failed. The only fail I can recall.
Just my opinion, but one of lengthy user experience.
I totally agree, this is a useless update
And you can no longer search using partial skus. That was the basis of my entire sku system.
This year management has decided they need to tinker with everything.
The result disaster, and reversals. In fact amazon has the WORST DASH BOARD of all the dashboards I use. @SEAmod
Beside inventory my listings have been subject to Amazon experiments which were detrimental. Multiple either your items were flagged for being pesticides or other.
Archaic buy shipping through Amazon when everyone else integrates with mailing programs like Pirate Ship or other.
Improvements could include actually having seller support that does not cut and paste answers so they close cases quickly. I have had to literally send 50 cases to find one decent support person who could fix things.
Let us not even get into the verification mess.
