ABS: How to get refund for USPS EXPRESS late delivery?

Since USPS Express (BLUE) is a money back guarantee by delivery date, how/where do you get/submit a refund when you used Amazon Buy Shipping?

Most USPS employees I've talked to are trained to tell us to submit a refund "through our account", but they don't understand that we pay Amazon, not USPS directly.

This was from a MOD awhile back:

To file a claim with UPS, please follow these steps:

1. File a claim with UPS by calling 1-800-711-5914

The UPS personnel at the above phone number are trained to support claims requested by Amazon sellers.

2. When submitting the claim, inform UPS that you are filing a claim for a damaged or lost item for Amazon seller-fulfilled.

If UPS will not move forward with your claim request or the claim was initiated but not paid, follow these steps:

1. Call UPS at 1-800-711-5914 (this phone number is designated for Amazon sellers), and request UPS to help with your claim.

2. If UPS continues to refuse to settle the claim, you can contact Amazon. However, before contacting Amazon, you must obtain the following information from UPS by calling 1-800-711-5914:

UPS tracking information (required)

First and last name, or agent ID, for the UPS employee who refused to initiate the claim (required)

Your contact email, phone number, or both–this will be provided to UPS (required)

Business name and full mailing address to where the claims payment check should be sent (required)

UPS claim number (if available)

Please feel free to refer to this help page for additional information regarding optional coverage for loss or damage.

I would think you would file a claim with USPS. I have done so for orders that they lost. You may have to sign up for an account first if you don't already have one, I'm not sure. It won't let me post the link, but go to USPS website, click "help" at the top right, it will open a window, click "filing a claim" and go from there.

- You can file a claim on the USPS website, create an account login if you do not already have one.

- Where the shipping label was purchased is of no concern, your business name and address will show up on the shipping details "return address".

- We have successfully filed and been paid many times for a variety of USPS claims, they will mail a check (drawn to the name and address in the shipper / return information on the label).

You would want to file a Service Refund Request, if I remember correctly.

I cannot post a link directly to the page due to forum rules
