Middle box UPC FNSKU dilemma

Dear sellers and Amazon team!

We really need some advice here.

We're preparing our first shipment to Amazon. Here's the issue: we have our products in boxes with UPC barcodes and "made in China" labels printed on them. Originally, we planned to use Manufacturer barcodes. But now we've found out that each item goes into a separate carton box called the MIDDLE BOX before it goes into the master box. Here's the problem—the middle boxes don't have UPCs, and obviously you can't see the UPCs on the original boxes.

So, now we are scratching our heads... what should we do? Do we take out all 7000 units from the middle boxes? Or should we print extra UPC barcode stickers for the middle boxes? We're also thinking about using FNSKU. If we choose that, do we just need to put the FNSKU barcode on the middle box, or do we have to open each one, cover the UPC with FNSKU, and then put it on the middle box as well?

Any advice would be really helpful!

Thank you!

You're sending 7000 units to Amazon of an item you haven't tested the market on? You may want to consider only sending some to FBA and doing FBM on the rest until you get a sales velocity and know what the market is for your item.

But that's not what you asked about. Here's what we would do....

Label each and every unit with the FNSKU. Makes sure there are NO OTHER SCANABLE BARCODES (caps for emphasis) on the items.

Greetings @Seller_LP5Z5wA5Igntj,

The information provided by the previous commenter is accurate, you will want each unit to be labeled and ensure there are no other visible barcodes. This will reduce the possibility for any issues during the receiving process.

Best of luck to you, and feel free to reply to me here directly if you need additional support.
