This morning I received 20 FAKE orders from another seller on Amazon who is trying to KILL my store. I have talked to others who this has happened to and their only motive is to get you shut down because you sell in the same competitive market! There is no help from Amazon at all after emails to try and get some help and resolution to the matter. They leave FAKE very bad reviews, chargebacks, and everything to get you shut down. Can’t believe Amazon would allow this to happen without researching these people out and kicking them off their selling platform. There is enough to go around people. You don’t need to stoop to these levels. Anybody else have this happen to them and what course did you take?
Was this for an order for 20 or 20 orders to one person? How do you know they are competition?
Sounds to me that the orders were real, whatever motivated them.
Yeah… how do you know this is from a competitor? Essentially you are saying… “Someone ordered 20 of my product, how dare they!” You must have no faith that anybody would ever create 20 orders from you
This happened to me also. They deliver under one buyer name. Then one fake order was in my city and they also had it delivered to other cities. Cheap small dollar amounts. Then they left instant negative feedback. Amazon wont remove the feedback because they say it doesn’t violate their policies. They are saying that my items are fake even though they are all legit!
I have had this happen as well. Fake order even came from the same business account as the competitor and I had multiple letters telling me they were going to do this to get me shut down. Amazon didnt care and I lost out on 2.5K and who knows how much else from the AZ claims effecting my Order Defect Rate.
Document what you can, use signature confirmation, try to work with the carriers to see what you can do. This is fraud.
The replies in this thread; really do have me pondering thoughts of…
This happens to us daily. Today, for example, I have had 700 units ordered by the same person for thousands of dollars. They did this through two separate orders and have already canceled one. They do this because they are trying to eliminate your inventory and raise their products seller rank and/ or buy box share. This is a weak and incompetent move on their part that can be easily fought. I create additional FBM listings of the same products and list inventory quantities of millions of units regardless of my actual in-stock quantities. I have also hired an attorney to draft a ‘threat letter’ and send it to them. The details of the letter warn them of copyright and trademark infringement and fraudulent identity theft since they are using fake names on the accounts they order from. Amazon offers no assistance to sellers. This is the wild west and you must defend your business. Do stoop to their level and cut their throats.
