I recently got an email saying that one of my products has a listing violation:
"This product has been identified as a supplement, consumable product, cosmetic, or topical product that makes prohibited disease claims. Products that make disease claims are prohibited from sale and listing on Amazon. For more information, please see: https://sellercentral.amazon.com/gp/help/help.html?itemID=201829010&language=en_US&ref=su_201829010_cont_200164330&referral=A1JDKOPCIHNYS0_A1M8XNY073PKQY For reinstatement, please remove the prohibited disease claim from the detail page and appeal the restriction. Please note that if the disease claim is on the product labeling, there may not be a path to reinstatement."
They have red flagged me in error because I make no such claims. I sell a culinary spice (Cumin). It is used and marketed as an ingredient for cooking various dishes. There are no medical claims, no supplement claims. You cannot find anything they suggest, except that it is consumable. I mean, it's a grocery item after all.
My second appeal was a copy/paste of the first saying:
"We have received your request for review of the following product(s) and after careful consideration have determined that the product(s) does not meet the necessary criteria and will be restricted post the grace period."
Clearly there was no careful consideration. They did not even address my response or point me to anything remotely looking like a violation on the listing. Clearly I am dealing with idiots.
Can I have some intervention from a moderator? My case number is: 17276828411

The Artificial Intelligence is checking the listings, this is not done by humans.
If you mention that cumin is helpful for weight loss, improving blood sugar, antioxidant or similar things: that IS a health claim. And having flagged it was not an error.
You loose your time fighting for a reinstatement. Take a new UPC from GS1 and create a new listing without those claims. Google also for "Amazon restricted keywords".

I appreciate you providing your case, I was able to identify the ASIN and specific concerns you mentioned. I understand how frustrating it can be to have a listing removed while being able to confirm no medical claims have been made. So I am offering the best guidance for your situation, I have reached out to our review teams for further clarification as I was unable to see the concerns surrounding medical claims.
When I get some feedback on the situation I will be able to follow up with their requirements for any changes or if they were able to resolve the situation. This team will also likely follow up on your mentioned case, so I would suggest continuing to monitor both this case and your notifications for additional communication as well.
The forums community and I are here to support you. Please let us know how we can help you from this point forward.
