Unable to merge gloabl accounts and could not list on new marketplace

Hi! I have an existing US selling account and was encouraged to expand to the EU marketplace. I took the leap and wanted to try out the UK marketplace. But I have issue registering for my UK account via my US seller central under the Sell Globally tab, then I was advised to create a new UK account and try to merge with my US account. However, after I successfully registered a new UK professional account, I wasn't able to merge the two accounts, the error message was that I have a pending registration on one of the accounts. So on the advice of Seller Support, I terminated my UK pending registration on my US account, which deleted all my EU marketplaces pending registration. I still can't merge the two accounts after many tries and to-and-fro with Seller Support on both marketplaces. I saw a few threads on this similar topics and wonder what happened to the sellers who encountered the same issue? Have you managed to resolve the issue? I actually was thinking to just live with two accounts and pay two sets of professional fees, but I now have the issue of creating a listing on my new Amazon UK account as Amazon and a third FBM seller are selling my products there, even after I edited the setting on my US account. Appreciate any help, thanks!
