Amazon Credit Card Glitch

Amazon has locked me out of my seller account saying my credit card is invalid. Resubmitted my CC information, Amazon sent my CC a verification charge, which according to my CC company, WENT THROUGH without a problem, yet Amazon is saying it was denied. We've gone through the same steps with 3 other VALID credit cards, and they were all denied, but I spoke with support reps from every one of those CC companies, and they informed me ALL OF THOSE CHARGES also went through. I keep being by Amazon support that there's something wrong with the credit card info, but there isn't, as evidenced by the charges all going through fine. Why is Amazon saying they didn't? What kind of major malfunction is Amazon thrusting on me NOW? Getting sick and tired of this nonsense.

Is the name on the credit card exactly the same like in your account settings under "Legal Entity" and "Official Registered Address"?

Is it possibly a debit card? If not, is it a mastercard? I've been seeing reports on another forum of MasterCard credit cards all of a sudden being flagged as not valid.

Very similar issue with my account this morning. At first they said that my credit card was within 6 months of expiring, so that's why my account was limited. 6 months? Who gets an updated card with a new expiration before 6 months? My CC company says they don't send updated exp until 60 days. I think that's the norm. So I've used my personal CC and it would not validate through Amazon. Same as The_Fan_Van, my CC company has received the charge from Amazon. I can't print my orders from the long weekend of sales. Amazon tells me that it takes up to 72 hours to validate. What?! So I guess I'll be going through this again, when I switch back to updated business CC. This is nuts.

How does this practice improve the Amazon customer experience?

How about a heads up from Amazon if you're going to require a CC that doesn't expire within 6 months. Maybe an email stating that our card is going to expire and we need a month to find alternate payment? That's not normal business practice.

Mine is doing the same thing now. Mine doesn't expire for years and it's still giving me an erroro.

I was locked out of my account with product to ship for this exact reason; a 100 % active and usable credit card used here for 20 years. In addition, at the same time, Amazon wasn't able to deposit my money in a 30 year old account. Amazon had a glitch in THEIR banking communications and instead of sending warning messages, locked down accounts so that we could not complete shipping and sales. This was a disaster and there is no communication from Amazon nor acknowledgement of a problem. Unacceptable.

This has just happened tyo me too - a card I have had on file for 2 years is suddenly (As of Oct 4) invalid and every one of the 3 cards I use also triggers as invalid.

My bank confirmed card OK, the rep I spoke to even indicated she saw no evidence of a 'hit' on my account from Amazon.

Just as I was writing up a post to this forum begging for a mod to refer my case to a real support department my account was reinstated. No notifications from Amazon, just back.

Hope uyou see a positive outcome soon.

We have the exact same issue. Our account is deactivated for 37 days now and no response from Amazon anymore. We could not ship any orders, so our account suffered a heavy performance, while Amazon is able to get the payments through on all purchases we make on our buyer account with the exact same card. Good luck in getting reactivated.

@KJ_AmazonCan you relay the message that there seems to be serious problems with Mastercharge credit cards? Many sellers are reporting the same issues; sellers that have been selling for years, and who have never had problems with their cards.

Detective work by many posters here and on the Sellers ask Sellers forum have narrowed down that the problem seems to be limited to Mastercard users; this would indicate a problem at Amazon. Yet all complaints get answered with standard template answers that do not address the issue, as it seems to be a bug.

Please pass this along to whomever can look into it!
