Listings Lounge: Upload Eye-catching 3D Models to Enhance Your Product Display

Hi Sellers,

Adding 3D content to a product can help customers engage with the product features, educate them about your products, and get them excited about your brand. Specific product categories such as home, furniture, consumer electronics, shoes, and eye-wear categories currently support 3D content.

Our customers rely on accurate 3D models in order to evaluate products; "what you see is what you get". Photorealistic models build trust and help our customers make better informed purchasing decisions.

To that end, 3D models should display the appropriate level of detail and represent materials in a physically plausible manner when compared to real-life referenced products. Models that do not accurately depict products as shown in the detail page images may be rejected through our quality assurance evaluation.

To upload 3D models to your product listings, follow these steps:

Note: Before starting, ensure that you have accurate product dimensions ready to submit along with your 3D model. 3D models must be in GLB or GLTF format. For more information on file requirements, go to 3D model technical requirements.

1. In Seller Central, go to Catalog and select Upload images.

2. Select the Image manager tab at the top left of the screen.

3. In the left pane, search for your product using either ASIN or SKU.

4. From the search results, select your product for which you want to upload a 3D model.

5. In the right pane, check for the Registered brand owner icon. You will only be able to upload 3D content for items which have you listed as the registered brand owner.

6. In the right pane, go to 3D models and select Upload 3D model.

7. Follow the instructions on the page to upload your reference materials and 3D model.

8. All submissions must be evaluated against our quality standards and may require retouches before publication. To determine if your submission published successfully or requires additional action, go to the Submission status tab. Most submissions are reviewed within two weeks.

9. If you have issues with your images uploading, check to ensure that the lighting does not shine on the model as this can cause issues with the scan, therefore, it may need to be adjusted.

If you have any 3D Model questions or issues, please let us know. Please start a new discussion thread using the tags ‘Listings’ and ‘Images’, and include your case ID from contacting Seller Support in the thread.
