I had an individual attempt to purchase on our website a few months back. This person was marked as "high risk of fraud" by authorize.net, an official VISA processor. This means this individual has been found guilty of chargeback fraud in the past. We even provided a photo proving this claim in the case. So we cancel the order on our site. Fast forward a few months later, this person orders on Amazon. We warn amazon this person is fraudulent. Amazon says if we cancel the order our account will be penalized. So we are forced to fulfill the order, this time with signature conformation. The customer reaches out and says the item was attempted to be delivered at 3am. This of course is a blatant lie as USPS does not deliver at 3am. We check the tracking number, they attempted delivery at noon. Customer then reschedules delivery and avoids it again. Then demands a $112 refund, of course we deny this. Amazon buy shipping even proves this person is avoiding delivery. She could have refused the package but did not, why? It's because she wants to get her money back AND the item for free at a later date. So now she gives us a 1 star review and opens an A-Z which has been pending for weeks. I login to the account today to find the account is at risk of termination due to this fraudulent customer. This is getting out of control here on Amazon. We're on every other platform, only Amazon that is continually abusing us and forcing us to be a victim of fraud and then punishing us for not forking our money over.

That is quite a coincidence. I, too, only have these problems on Amazon. I only encounter blatant scams here.
The customers on other sites are well behaved.
Yes. And YES - Amazon is basically the only one who literally teaches buyers how to scam the system and get free stuff.
Selling here is a gamble - whether you will get up in morning will lots of orders or will you see $-895 in fraudulent A-Z claim that Amazon has granted and 3 fake returns when buyers return used and damaged stuff and get 100% refund.
A tale as old as time, lol.
Tale as old as time....
True as it can be....
Signed up for so many years.....
Than got bent over so Unexpectedly....
Just a little business....
Small to say the least...
Was a little scared...
wasn't even prepared....
Geez, at least use some grease.......
If you do a decent amount of FBM, just cancel the order. Its not going to affect your metrics canceling an order.
Hi Atlantean - Great Post !. I knew some of this happens, but never to the extent you have been taken advantage of. Hopefully your product was too expensive so you didn't get hurt too bad. Thanks again for the eye opening post. Continued Success.
And that is the way Jeff Bezos designed the company to work. The buyer wins and the seller loses.
