Error when adding my brand

I listed my product first, and then I got my brand name approved, but when adding the brand name to the Amazon product page, I got this error:

8541: The value (BRAND NAME) specified cannot be used as it conflicts with the value for ASIN B0CTGGR82Y in the Amazon catalog. If this is ASIN B0CTGGR82Y, update the value to match the ASIN data. If this is a different product, update identifying information (UPC/EAN/Part Number/etc.).

I have contacted many Amazon reps, and they just send me to articles. The last one I spoke with suggested I delete the listing, wait 24 hours, and then add it again. This way, I can also keep my reviews. I deleted on Saturday and worked on adding the product today, but I still get the same error when adding my brand name into the brand box. When adding my product back, I typed in the ISBN for my book(product), and it said hey, is this your book, I clicked yes and was automatically assigned the same ASIN. Is that the problem? How do I get past that and create a new ASIN?

I am slowly losing my mind here. Can anyone really help me?

It is against Amazon's brand name policy to change the brand name on a listing after it is created, with the only exception being to fix a small typo. To have it under the new brand name, you would need to create a new listing.

Hello @Seller_aYnRmGMUYuMCn,

My name is Dougal from the Community Manager Team and I would be happy to assist. Please can you provide the case ID or ID's where you were provided some direction?

Although @Seller_f4a7xAPCCSMqD is correct that a brand name cannot be changed per policy, I see that this is a new ASIN and I see it is an option for you via edit listing. Also, I was able to recreate the error you received.

Have you tried to update the ASIN via upload? You can download an inventory file, fill it out and upload that which will update your listing. If you have not done this, I recommend you attempt that. If it does not update, you will most likely receive a status error and be provided a batch ID. You can then provide that batch ID to Seller Support and that may help them provide clearer direction (as they will be able to review your submission).

Please let me know how this works out.

Best, Dougal
