Hi Sellers,
I am very happy to introduce to you Ask Amazon.
It's an opportunity to engage with our business teams regarding a specific topic through a thread on the Forums.
We will be creating a thread dedicated to the Ask Amazon event. Your inputs will then be taken to our business teams in order to provide the necessary answers.
Please note: This event is intended for general questions and we cannot provide advice or feedback on individual claims.
Feel free to write down which topic do you suggest!
Let's make this happen

Why do pickups not happen due to the DA issue, and why can't the Amazon support team help? Even the FBA shipment has not been picked up in nine days.
Fake Buyer and Fake return received from buyer. return pickup boy not proper verification done.
Inbounding inventory misplacement issues in FBA and failure of seller support team to provide satisfactory resolution
PAN Card necessary to minimise fake customers and support sellers. Fake customers only effect to sellers. Amazon does not get charged for partial return, fake return or shipping charges.
Customers should be verified by PAN Card like sellers are verified by GST. This will remove chunk of fake customers.
Hi Noor,
Thank you for this platform and for the opportunity to address issues openly with Amazon's business teams. My concerns stem from the overwhelming financial and logistical challenges sellers face, which can be detrimental—especially for small businesses and manufacturers who manage every part of production. Here are a few key areas for discussion:
1) Internal Product Theft by ATS & Fraudulent Returns: Amazon’s internal ATS staff involvement in theft and fraudulent return practices is a critical issue impacting countless sellers. Sellers often face double penalties—product loss and deductions from SCRR (Seller Controllable Return Rates)—while Amazon collects an additional 15% commission on these returns. Proper enforcement of return policies and increased transparency could address these theft concerns and prevent sellers from being penalized for ATS-driven issues.
2) Staggering Deductions Structure: Our analysis reveals that, including commissions, SCRR, ads, and ATS-related theft, Amazon deductions often exceed 67-107% of the selling price in different scenarios. Without strategic policy revision, it’s almost impossible to sustain profitability. We hope for more transparency in fee structures and stricter monitoring to support small sellers rather than profit from their losses.
3) Return Policies and SCRR Implementation: By enforcing strict guidelines that only unused products can be returned and enhancing ATS accountability, Amazon could reduce return fraud drastically. We’d also suggest implementing an OTP-based return confirmation process to protect sellers from fraudulent returns.
4) Fair Treatment for Indian Sellers: Amazon policies for Indian sellers differ vastly from those applied in the US and EU. Standardizing policies across regions would prevent small businesses here from feeling exploited.
5) Sustainable Seller Support: High-profile Amazon insiders like Cloudtail benefit from policy protections that small sellers don’t have access to. It’s essential for Amazon to create a fair environment that allows all sellers to operate sustainably, without the challenges of unfair return fines, hidden costs, or theft by Amazon’s own employees.
We hope these topics will open up an honest discussion with Amazon’s business teams. On a final note, I trust that sharing these insights won’t result in any warnings like I received previously. Indian sellers should be able to raise questions freely without fear of control or silencing, especially when those questions address practices that impact our businesses.
Amazon’s policies should support fair and sustainable growth for all sellers, rather than placing the burden of fraudulent returns and high advertising costs disproportionately on independent sellers to cover costs for larger players within the system.
Thank you for considering these points for positive action
Hello dear team,
why we are receiving incorrect data from amazon regarding our recalls products.
Hi,
Very good initiative and before I share my issues, I want that whatever issues sellers are facing must be resolved strictly to grow our business.
Following are the current issues:
1. Returns: Why is Amazon not doing strict scrutiny on returns from buyers. Immediate refunds of money to buyers should not be done without scrutiny results- as sellers are facing so much loss. This liberty to buyers directly affect the seller selling confidence.
2. Account level reserve: affects money flow of sellers.
3. High commission: Due to heavy commission on Amazon we are not able to beat the other e commerce platforms to attract the buyers.
4. Low orders and late dispatch from FBA.
Returns is the most important topic as it is impacting profits of nearly every small seller due to loose policies of Amazon on fradulent customer identification, ats monopoly etc
