For over a substantial amount of years, our company has only had one shipment facility FTW1. However, now Amazon is wanting us to ship to 9 other facilities. Some of which have only ordered 1 unit. Shipping one or small amounts of units is unrealistic and is far from cost effective, and we lose profits. I've sent in multiple cases about the issue and i get the same answer of "we cant control where your items go". They state they want the customer to receive the goods "faster" but if the PO has a small number of units..... the customer has a higher chance of not receiving the item at all, because now, the PO will be cancelled.

Shipping to Multiple Facilities is NOT COST EFFECTIVE FOR AMAZON
Amazon doesn't care what is cost effective for YOU. They want to reduce THEIR overall costs and have you send the items to where THEY want them sent.
There have been dozens of discussions about this on here the past year and more.
There was one thread early on in this mess where the seller had to ship to three locations. They were using the ‘placement service’ and said ‘This dramatically increase cost. For me it cost of sending same shipment went from $300 to $1500. ‘
Good luck!
That is very cost effective for Amazon. They're spending less by having us ship more. Its not cost effective for us. To ship miniscule amounts of items to multiple places, costs more than the price Amazon is charged for our units.
I have seen the multitude of posts about this issue, including the one you've spoken of. Pay more, to get the same results! SMH.
Who knows if this will change or get better, but until it does, I'm sure we all have no problem continuing to speak out about it.
Thanks!
