Children's Ptroduct Certificate

I want to return to Amazon to sell my vintage Barbie Dolls by Mattel. I am trying to obtain a Children's Product Certificate which Amazon requires before you can sell on its site. I called Mattel's customer service and the agent had to read to me a script that says that Mattel will not be providing the CPC. Could anyone enlighten me as to how I can obtain this certification?

If you still have the INVOICE of purchase, go on. If, additionnally, you have the written permission from Mattel to sell them on Amazon, then go on. If not, just don't try. Amazon is no longer for used products.

Even if you wanted to pay what those certificates cost, you can't as vintage barbies do not meet the current requirements. Your next issue will be that you do not have permission to sell the Barbie brand. It is also starting to look like amazon doesn't want to sell used items any more.

These belong on ebay at the best. Truthfully if you want to make the most on them you need to get on FB or Reddit and find collector groups for barbies. There are plenty and one is likely in your area. You can make cash sales for the actual value and not have all the fees and hassles. There are also several very large vintage toy conventions depending on where you are. barbies are always a big part of the ones that I sell at.

Hello @Seller_OJFMOoH16vuou,

Your fellow sellers have provided you with some good information. As these are still toys, even though they are collector items, they would still need to meet all the requirements, which is the CPC documents, as this could be given to a child.

Thank you for your understanding.

Michelle
