Question for any mods @SEAmod
Since the inception of inventory placement fees and more extensive shipping around the country, Amazon has been experiencing longer delays in receipt of inventory as well as actual loss of inventory. After Amazon keeps continually pushing out the reconciliation date where we can open a case for reimbursement of lost inventory, we follow the proper procedures and open the cases for reimbursement of lost inventory.
When Amazon notifies of reimbursement, how can we tell if that amount also accounts for reimbursement of the inventory placement fee we paid per item that Amazon in turn "loses"? We should not be paying inventory placement fees if Amazon never "placed" the inventory available for purchase by consumers.
Hi @Seller_btw1hdzhQ4dCW,
Thank you for reaching out with this question and for your patience here!
Please note that when you create a shipping plan, you’ll see a fee estimate for each available inbound placement option. You’ll then be charged the FBA inbound placement service fee 45 days after your shipment is received, based on the inbound location and the quantities received.
If you were in fact charged the inbound placement fee when the shipment was never received, I'd recommend opening a case with Seller Support so that team can take a further look into this charge and reimbursement. Once you open that case, please send me the case ID and I'd be happy to monitor the correspondence and provide additional assistance if needed.
Thanks again,
Jameson
