Hello Amazon Seller Community,
I'm reaching out regarding my recently deactivated seller account and hoping for some guidance. Here's my situation:
For the past month, I was fulfilling orders through Essendant, where:
- My business name appeared on shipping labels
- My logo was printed on the boxes
- Orders were shipped directly to customers
I understand that dropshipping violates Amazon's policies, but I believe my fulfillment method through Essendant is different from traditional dropshipping since I maintained brand presence on the packaging and had a formal business relationship with the supplier.
Current challenges:
1. My account has been deactivated under Section 3
2. Unable to contact Amazon support (calling option is disabled)
3. Only receiving automated responses to my cases
Questions for the community:
- Has anyone else experienced a similar situation while working with Essendant?
- What are my options for appealing this decision?
- Can someone clarify if using Essendant this way actually violates Amazon's policies?
Any guidance or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance for your help!
Post your actual notice (redact personal info) so that anyone trying to help can see exactly what Amazon has told you.
At least on the surface, sounds as if you are doing it right (although if Essendant is doing anything wrong, you may be in a tough spot). This is assuming that you have permission from the rights holders to sell their products here.
Post the latest case # and tag a mod; perhaps they can look into it or push it to the proper department.

Hello @Seller_D85os1lSVn1eP
Thank you for the information provided regarding the recent issues relating to the drop shipping policy. I understand that you have an agreement set up with your supplier that you believes falls within the policy on our platform. The drop shipping policy states that it is not permitted to utilize another third party service to fulfill your orders, unless the orders were clearly identifying you as the seller of record.
- What are my options for appealing this decision?
If there is any indication that the package originated from another seller or party, it would be considered a violation, and our team would have to take further action. The resolution will involve providing disputing information that can show you were operating within policy. We would advise on compiling a submission that includes all of the documents and details you have surrounding your partnership with the supplier. What information have you attempted to provide as of now?
We ask that you remain aware that if the information is not sufficient in showing your set up, we will not be able to guarantee a resolution for the concern you are seeing. We do encourage you to share more on the steps you have attempted to take and any follow up messaging you may have received so we may continue to provide guidance.
Best,
Atlas
