Looks like the Priority Mail Tyvek Envelope.
11 5/8 inch X 15 1/8 inch
Is it padded?
It is not a flat-rate option. Goes by weight and zone.
This may be a PADDED flat rate envelope.
$6.90 postage on Amazon.
If a Tyvek envelope then you have to pay for the weight of the package.
I would choose the regular Priority Package option. I believe the $6.65 priority envelope in question is a “Flat Rate Priority” envelope. The last time I looked at them, Flat Rate Envelopes said “Flat Rate Priority” on them.
Priority rate, no different than a box shipped priority … Flat rate DOES NOT APPLY

As others have correctly said, this tyvek envelope would ship priority by weight.
If your item will fit in the padded flat-rate (sized a little smaller than the tyvek but much roomier than the Flat-rate or flat-rate legal envelopes), it will likely be your most economical PM choice.
The padded FR is capped at $6.90 nationwide,
That is just a priority envelope. It is not flat rate and you will need to weigh it before putting postage on it.
Thank you Everyone for your responses. I understand. Now go forth and win one…for yourselves.
Here’s the deal on Priority mail packages:
You only get a special rate if the package is pre-printed accordingly.
IOW: If the package has the words “Flat Rate” printed on it, then it is a flat rate package. If the package has no such words printed on it, regardless of what else one might call it (Tyvek, etc), it can only ship at the normal Priority Mail rates.
Bad_Brittnie is correct, BTW: If you have to ship it Priority, and it fits in a flat rate, why not do that instead of dropping $10 on shipping? - and yes, you can order flat rate (and other priority mail boxes) from the USPS website and have the delivered to your door for free. Check it out.
You can also usually score flat rate (and other packages) for free at the local post office…
I can’t figure out which shipping option to choose. It doesn’t seem like it a straight $6.65 Priority envelope ( the post office already said no way!). It weighs over 1lb.
This is not my first BBQ however, I’m still stumped.
Thanks and everyone have a great Saturday
