On the 6th of April I was supposed to get a disbursement of (over $5000) at the moment my disbursement suppose to leave my selling account I received an email that disbursement failed that I needed to update my card info, off course am not a new seller and this particular card among other cards that are not even associated to the particular account they normally disburse to. And my next disbursement started reading 20th of April.
I quickly contacted Amazon customers serv immediately who walked me through to update that particular card, and afterwards she requested for “exceptional disbursement” telling me that I should receive my disbursement within 24hrs and also that I should expect a call from their internal team within few hours, the next day money did not leave my account and I called again, the second person while I was on the phone told me that he has reviewed and saw that someone requested an “exceptional disbursement” for me and it has been approved, I was excited that he asked for a feedback from me while I was on the phone and I gave him excellent in all.
As am writing this now on the 04/11/18 there hasn’t been any disbursement yet, … and I have giving up until next disbursement date which is on 20th and I know that’s what they want.
It’s really bad how Amazon treats their sellers but once a buyer complains; they would follow it to the end but for sellers it’s a different thing.
My selling privileges were suspended on 9/11 last year. In that email Amazon stated that they could hold on to my money for up to 90 days before disbursement. It is now 7 months later and they still have not given me my money despite several attempts to contact them. Is this how Bezos became the richest man in the world, by cheating little people?
Have to keep the card info updated learned that a long time ago. As long as it is the Amazon pays have always ran like clockwork for me it is one of the things I do like about selling on amazon .
Unfortunately amazon is in the position the bay was in early on and can not envision ever not being the internets largest marketplace so in other areas they are making the same and even more drastic mistakes which will eventually lead to the same out come.
@ Cliff, are you now saying that for them to ignore the request of “exceptional disbursement” tendered by an Amazon associate and carried forward to another two weeks is the right thing to do, regardless?
Also, where’s the courtesy call I was told to expect within 24 hrs. And why was I told by amazon associate that my exceptional disbursement request had been approved while not?
I’m not sure how to start a new question, so here it is as a reply to yours and a bit of ranting — similar situation. My credit card was overdrawn due to an error by some software company in January, a purchase that was cancelled by mutual agreement, but then charged to my account by error — not at all related to Amazon. $157 was suddenly charged to my card Apr 25. So, my Apr 26 disbursement was withheld. Why? Same as your situation, the card had to be updated. I updated the card. Well, I had to get a payment to the card in order for it to have available credit, took two days for some unknown electronic transfer reason. Okay, so Apr 28 the card was good to go and Amazon charged $1 to verify the card. But, payment couldn’t be made until a Monday, Apr 30. That didn’t happen. Updated the card again. Rep #3 said that everything was okay so I could be assured of payment May 1. The disbursement people don’t accept phone calls nor return them.
I was completely out of money and had promised many payments that week, but May 1 would work for me, just get me the money, Amazon. Nope.
May 2 rep #4 said exactly the same thing that #1, #2, #3 had said… the exceptional disbursement was on its way. Yippeee… but NO. May 3 rep #5, had the exact same tale, with a nice guarantee, for sure, Sir. Nope. May 4 morning rep #6, exactly the same story. Afternoon rep #7 exactly the same, no problem, Sir. Desperately before end of day Friday rep #8 took me into late afternoon with everything consistently the same, except an unhappy ending condition that I should forget about exceptional disbursement because it just wasn’t going to happen. I should just accept a May 10 payment to arrive by May 14, Sir. Did I occasionally yell? Cry? Despair? Do I seem to be in a bad mood?
Hmmm… no rent payment, eviction? No food remaining here. No promised payments to lenders and credit cards. No birthday presents for grandkids. No cleaning lady before my girlfriend returns next week. No cash left for anything. Hmmmmm…
Yes, we updated the credit card every day, with the eight reps leading me carefully through it. No problems there, Sir. Everything is in order, Sir.
Big problems: no money to get inventory. no money for PPC ads. no money for business expenses and operations.
Big problem: no money will lead me to overdrawn credit card before May 10. So, no payment for two more weeks —
for EVER ??? I will be out of business, evicted, out of money.
Gosh, I was doing pretty well with Amazon this spring. I was finally ahead of the game by a few inches. Now I’ve suddenly fallen into a deep hole. The culprit: the software company that made the billing error in January. Second culprit: Amazon, my partner, my friend, my business solution, my aspiration — now my mortal enemy, literally (you see, I’m 75 and have no options).
It seems that Amazon doesn’t do exceptional disbursements. It seems that if my credit card was overdrawn on Apr 26, I must wait patiently until May 10 disbursement. Did I somehow agree that if my credit card is overdrawn on a pay date, I would then forfeit payment until Amazon decides to pay. Is that correct? What the heck were the 8 reps saying about the simple, immediate exceptional disbursement, no problem, Sir?
This is my 8th attempt. I have sold on Amazon for 7 Years. One day you say my items are Hazmat. Why? Why? Why? You will not tell me. Is it the matches? No because my units don’t have matches in them. There is a picture of my Stove in a Can with matches in the Picture. I can not remove the picture. I have tried to get you to remove the picture but no one will. Now Yes I am the patent holder, the trade name holder & the trademark holder & I manufacture all of the Stove in the cans everywhere. . So tell me how MY STOVE IN THE CANS CAN BE HAZMAT AND NONE OF THE OTHERS THAT SELL ON YOUR SITE. ( 4 others sell it as well) They are all made by me the same without matches. Open one Stove 10 Stoves, 100 Stoves, 1000 Stoves. There are no matches in my Stoves. Now you are holding 104 Stoves. They have vanished. Since you do not care and have refused to to send them back and will not even reply to me. My only relief is to demand my Stoves back to me and give me your Statatory agents name in Utah so I Can Sue you in federal court. Since I have a family full of Lawyers 8 We will all Sue I at a time. Then maybe you will answer a complaint. Very frustrated client for 7 Years and you just do not care. I know 100 people that sell are your site & most of them Hate Amazon for the same reason as myself. You will not Fix anything. I have copy’s of all the emails I sent it’s time to Sue.
