USPS E-Mail Receipt Missing Tracking Numbers

Starting a few weeks ago I’ve been choosing “email receipt” when I send my orders at the USPS post office. In the past, tracking numbers have always been included in the emails. However, yesterday when I opened the email it is missing tracking numbers. I emailed customer service with my receipt number to see if they can provide the tracking numbers, but I don’t have high hopes that they will respond.

Has anyone else ever run into this issue? I’m worried that I don’t have tracking numbers for the orders I sent yesterday.

You should choose the option that gives you a receipt and also emails you a copy…

And like everyone else every once in awhile the post offices internet connection goes wonky…

So it might not have transmitted correctly…

Best of luck – you’re probably Sol, make sure you confirm the shipments even if you don’t have the tracking number… And don’t wait forever to do so…

Good luck

When buying anything at the post office I always get a paper receipt. In fact, until now, I never realized there was an email receipt option.

You have demonstrated yet another strength in purchasing your shipping through Amazon. When utilizing that option your tracking is instantly recorded. The only thing you really need to invest in as a scale which will pay for itself in no-time.

In addition to the big downside you just discovered – those paper receipts should be part of your year by year collection of all receipts, saved in case of audit.
