Saw the Amazon UPS pricing for FBM returns. I am using Stamps.com and my rates are at least double that to ship out. Can anyone point me to where these lower prices are available?
Amazon would never give out the exact rates they get. The only time a third party seller has access is when shipping to a fulfillment center.
Amazon Buy Shipping will have (I assume) the lowest UPS rates possible. While those rates are not as low as the return shipping rates, they are generally lower than most rates available to “normal” UPS customers. The upside is that INR claims are (supposed to be) covered. The downside is that any claims that may need to be filed are a PITA because you are not technically the seller of record (think 3rd Party Billing).
No, Amazon will not allow the 3p sellers to get the incredibly reduced rates they pay for UPS.
Amazon makes a nice additional profit by selling shipping services to 3p sellers
