Hello,

We have confirmed that there is no technical error impacting restock limits. We continually assess and update restock limits based on many factors, including past and future sales, current inventory levels, new selection and the capacity available in our fulfillment centers. If you are seeing a change in your restock limit, it is likely driven by your recent sales and future forecast. On average, sellers continue to hold approximately 3 months’ worth of inventory within our network.

We hear and understand your frustration. Restock limits are necessary to ensure all sellers using FBA have space for their products, and that we can efficiently receive your products. We will notify you if we make any substantial changes to restock limits.

Please consider checking your Shipping Queue for any old, unused shipments. The utilization metric includes in-transit inventory. If you have old open shipments, it may be unnecessarily counting toward your utilization. To cancel or delete a shipment, click the shipment name, or click View shipment or Track shipment . Then, click Cancel shipment or Delete shipment .

There must a new update. A few hours ago, our maximum inventory level decreased from 30K to 20K though there has been no change in sales velocity. We have remarkably stable sales. 300 hundred in a day, 9-10K in a month. So right now we cant restock our products even for 3 months.

Yep, It appears my limit has been chopped down to 1/3rd of what it was when they first changed from ASIN limits to account Limits. I’m now down to the minimum of 1000 units of each type.

However, it now looks like they have finally reduced the Recommended replenishment quantity down to in line with the new limits a bit. So at least they are not trying to tell me to replenish more than I can.

I tend not to send in that much inventory, just trying to stay a few weeks ahead of sales since I don’t want to pay huge storage fees as I head into my slow season.

I just hope they figure out how to let seasonal sellers ship stuff in at the end of slow season. (I wonder how long it takes them to start calculating velocity and adjusting the Unit limits when sales start picking back up again.) I mean if it takes them three months to notice sales pickup before they adjust the limits, my busy season will be half over before they make an adjustment, at least my busy season is 4-6 months long.
People how only have Q4 to make most of their sales are going to be sunk.

Sorry to say but I think the Absolute Minimum Might be 1000 units of each storage type.

Right strategy might be to merchant fulfill orders for most books if you can.

Cut me by 3000 today as well.

Whatever algorithm they’re using is awful and it seems to change every few days completely ruining the ability to plan shipments.

Yep me too cut mine down from 136,000 to 100,000 overnight…So now it looks like I wont be able to send any inventory in for about 2 weeks or so…By then they might drop it even further.

Also received a decrease in limit despite having steady sales. Wondering when or if this will ever end so we can actually plan our business strategy accordingly.

Been working on improving my sales in the past 3 weeks and got slapped this morning with a 25% reduction in limits. This is a death blow and won’t be able to send inventory for 6-8 weeks unless they raise inventory levels…

this is insanely bad practice @SEAmod can you tell us what up whats up this please? all my stocks are at the recommended limits and im running low on several items that will no doubt run out of stock before my limit decreases. fba DG is counting towards my my totals as well which i feel should not be happening considering those fulfillment centers are not the same as the stranded inventory ones
