If cash flow issues are such a problem, then Amazon should return to on demand releases of funds.

Amazon has no reason to unless there is a massive incentive need due to a dramatic fall in seller supply. They can however, productize a solution in tandem with an approved service and offset the risk onto someone else. Adapt or die.

To improve cash flow, simply allow us to receive the money after shipping the item. If there’s any issue with the product, the buyer asks for a refund and there’s no money on a seller’s, just charge their card. Simple. There’s no reason for sellers to be financing Amazon for free for 60 days before being able to disburse the money - and if sellers want to solve this cash flow issue to grow their business, they have to pay for external financing themselves.

The only thing this means is that a business will use Amazon for some sales, but will be 90%+ focused on getting non-Amazon sales that produce cash flow. Evolve or die, amazon!

There is always more going on behind the scenes that Amazon lets on.

  • Is Amazon now going to accept Payoneer (a money broker, not a credit card) as being valid for account payments to Amazon?
  • Sure, it is easy for Amazon to pay out to a seller’s Payoneer account.
  • Certainly, this is for foreign sellers because I believe Payoneer I used outside the USA far more than in the USA.
  • Amazon enjoys holding on to seller’s profits for two weeks just to keep their cash flow moving. So why would Amazon want to assist sellers using a Payoneer deposit account unless there is some behind the scenes dealing. Why not include PayPal, and Green Dot? Or, why not just include all sellers and deposit all seller profits daily?

The bottom line is this. If you need immediate payments from Amazon, your business is way underfunded.
