Read onlyEffective October 29, 2021, we’ve made two changes to FBA Small and Light:
For more information, go to FBA Small and Light.
Thank you, this will be helpful to us.
However, we will still be ‘throttled’ by the unit limits that are now in place. Every new S&L item we send will be at the expense of another item of greater value. For that reason, it will likely not work for us.
We would be taking up a “slot” for an item with a $2.00 profit and giving up a “slot” for a more expensive item with a $90 profit.
This is good news.
With the introduction of the re-stock limits, the minimum 24 piece requirement put the noose to the whole program as a whole. I imagine the Small and Light team was facing early retirement because of this.
As to the re-stock limits, the Small and Light “Team” might want to suggest to the gods that the each S&L unit be “counted” as .25 or .50 of a unit instead of a FULL UNIT.
LOGIC PEOPLE. LOGIC.
Why does (lets say) 1,000 units of “SMALL” and Light that take the space of a shoebox is judged the same as 1,000 units of a Box of Cereal or Jug of Detergent, which are 50 or 100 times the size?
Yes I know re-stock limits and volume limits are different, but if Amazon WANTS low cost and VARIETY, then change. If Amazon want low cost, and limited styles, then keep the same.
Actually it is BETTER, to keep the 24 piece requirement, and use the .25 or .50 unit calculation, as then the FC across the country HAS local stock, and faster turn-around and low Amazon shipping costs.
This is great news! It will solve some of the challenges I faced.
S&L used to be for products $13 and under and then it was changed to $7 and under.
With the rising cost of material and shipment, sellers’ cost has increased over the last couple years.
Would there be possibility in the future to raise the dollar threshold to be for products up to $10?
Thank you.
Used to do this but as others pointed out, stopped due to the restrictions. Will re-evaluate it now that the velocity requirement has been lifted. It was always silly that rapid selling inventory was required, but the S& L team only shipped about every 5 days or so it seemed. “Yes we want fast product but we’ll take a week near enough to ship it!”
Wow, Amazon actually changed something for the better.
The killer of the program for us is that, S/L items are assigned to different warehouses to Standard items.
That means we have to deliver them alone, which means higher freight cost.
Used to do an insane amount of Small and light until it was gutted with the $7.00 limit.
