Important: Selling Partner API Migration Updates

Hi All,

We want to share some updates on Selling Partner API (SP-API) 2022 Migration dates.

We’ve previously communicated migration dates for the Amazon Marketplace Web Services (MWS) Orders, Reports, and Merchant Fulfillment Network (MFN) sections and the Products section in separate announcements. This communication is intended as a reminder to those who will be affected by these changes.

MWS Orders, Reports, and MFN sections

There is no change to the previously communicated information for the MWS Orders, Reports, and MFN sections. Effective July 31, 2022, all third-party developed applications authorized by selling partners in the Amazon Seller Central Partner Network (ASCPN) (“public applications”) using Amazon MWS Orders, Reports, and MFN sections must migrate to the Selling Partner API (SP-API). Applications that do not migrate will not be able to successfully call these sections in MWS beginning 8/1/2022.

MWS Products section

To provide additional time to complete migration, we are extending the migration date from March to September. Effective September 30, 2022, all third-party applications authorized by selling partners in the Amazon Seller Central Network (ASCPN) currently integrated with the Amazon MWS Products section must be migrated to SP-API Catalog Items API and Listings Items API sections. While it was previously communicated that only 5 MWS Products operations were impacted, to enable a holistic migration of application functionality, we are expanding the guidance to all 15 operations in MWS Products.

Applications that do not migrate will not be able to successfully call these sections in Amazon MWS beginning 10/1/2022.

The deprecation of Selling Partner Catalog Items v0 operations will also be extended from March 31, 2022 to September 31, 2022.

Note: Developers with self-authorized (“private”) applications using the Amazon MWS Orders, Reports, MFN, and Products sections do not need to take action at this time. We will share more information about migration dates for self-authorized applications in the coming months.

We are focused on providing the necessary information, tools, and assistance to migrate your apps to SP-API. We will continue to communicate updates and reminders about Selling Partner API Migration dates throughout 2022 to make sure you always have the latest information about dates, requirements, and resources.
