Fishbowl Inventory integration with Amazon store - any experience?

Hi –

I had a thread here previously. But it’s archived and one can no longer reply to the thread.

I’m wondering if anyone has experience integrating their Fishbowl Inventory software with their Amazon store?

We run Fishbowl Inventory in our warehouse. We have an Amazon store as well (under a different account).

I haven’t run across too many who have any real experience with integrating the two. What works and what doesn’t? The nitty-gritty isn’t really discussed on the Fishbowl website either, but I imagine as the software gets more popular, we’ll see more integrations.

And one kind user mentioned:

>+One of the problems we had with Fishbowl’s Integration systems is that it only supported >simple products, not kits. Has this changed? We sell a ton of items that are kits, so we had to >create our own Magento Fishbowl Tool, and then we use M2E for Magento Amazon >communication.+

So I imagine that this is a drawback. In Fishbowl, you buy (or make) “parts” and sell those as “products”. A grouping of “products” is a “kit”. So presumably, if you were selling a grouping of products on amazon, you’d have a difficult time with keeping inventory up-to-date and accounting as well.

Anyway, thanks for anyone who can shed some light on their experiences with integration. As we try to get this going, we’ll try to keep this thread (or a new one) up to date with our experiences in the event that others use it and either have feedback to add or can be helped by our experience.
