FBA New Selection program

Last April, we announced the FBA New Selection program, and since then, over 60,000 enrolled sellers have sent over 680,000 new-to-FBA parent ASINs to our fulfillment centers. Given the positive feedback we’ve received from many of you, we are expanding the program this year. The new benefits are included below:

Oversize item eligibility

Starting April 1, 2021, for up to 30 units per parent ASIN, we will provide free storage for up to 90 days and free removals for up to 180 days for eligible oversize items.

Sponsored advertising

Starting April 1, 2021, for eligible sellers, we will offer promotional credits for sponsored ads.

ASIN limit

Starting April 1, 2021, we will remove the 500-ASIN limit, allowing an unlimited amount of eligible, new-to-FBA parent ASINs to qualify for program benefits.

Benefits for apparel and shoes

Starting April 1, 2021, for eligible parent ASINs, we will extend free storage from 90 days to 120 days for up to 100 units per parent ASIN (up from 50 units). In addition, we will extend eligibility for the customer returns processing fee waiver from 120 days to 180 days, and the waiver will apply to 20 units instead of 50 units, per parent ASIN.

I expect this will be to encourage sellers who haven’t advertised, to begin advertising

or

For existing advertisers, to begin advertising ASINs they haven’t advertised?

Is this only for new ASINs?

this whole program announcement pertains only to new ASINs, so yes.

Does the date of the ASIN creation matter? i.e. If I create a new ASIN on March 31st, it is disqualified?

How do you get qualified for this program? Amazon selects ?

That is what I want to know. I have about 40 products to launch that I’d planned for early March. I will hang on for this if the entire ASIN must be new on/after April 1. If it’s just new to FBA on/after April 1, I can still get the listings prepped at least.

I found this:

Parent ASINs must be new to FBA.

ASINs also must be the following:

Received at a fulfillment center after April 1, 2020
Small standard or large standard-size
In new condition and not in the Media category

The date only refers to received date, not creation date.

Great News…!!!

But, would you be able to share some updates on Dangerous Goods Storage program?

Sponsored Advertising does not help at all for our non-Prime offers, when Seller Fulfilled Prime and Dangerous Goods Prime programs both have been on hold.

We have been waiting since March 2020 in the waiting list and never heard any new updates or even possible time frame for Dangerous Goods application acceptence.

I read this as New-to-FBA. The wording tells me there might be an existing ASIN for FBM but no FBA sales yet and still qualify. I took advantage of the latest program for some items in Q4.

do we need to enroll in this program or are we automatically enrolled?

I believe you only need to create your ASIN and set up a shipment to FBA so the product arrives on 4/02/2021 or later. I will confirm this with the business team.

Will there be adjustments to the limited quantity inventory?
The current way it is calculated is killing our sales.
