This is my first time moving from FBM to FBA. I have a label printer and the smaller labels, just wanted to know if I can design my own labels like attached. Should I use the ASIN as the barcode? I tested one and scanned it and it went to the amazon page. I want to avoid the $0.20 fee per package if I can.
I tried to download the labels from Seller Central, but have always gotten an error when I tried to click “Print Item Labels”, it just says “Error - No Items Submitted”, so I designed this myself in Dymo Label creator. From what I read, it just needs the barcode, item condition, item name and item description.

Amazon does the formatting for you. Just go to your inventory, to the item, and on the right side menu, select print item labels.
I would make sure that you were not commingling inventory that could end up being a total problem.
When I used to send in my books to FBA, I always wrote my seller name and thank you on the package, my books were wrapped really well and not commingled…
Having an extra sticker on it, might identify it as yours should you get returns, and they turn out not to be yours… and you want all returns to come back to you oh, that’s a box you can check off some place. It can help you identify abusive customers, quality control issues, ETC.
Billy Bob in the warehouse isn’t going to really look at it they’re just going to take and throw it in a package.
And ignore the rest of whatever is on it. It’s also important to have the Amazon mandated stickers be of good quality printing because if they smear, they will charge you to Resticker them and then probably lose half of them. It happens…
Make sure that your sizes dimensions and weights are also correct. On the listing page… You don’t want to have to chase after them to do a Bin check, and pull the inventory and measure and weigh it, just in case they decide to charge you for something the size of a vacuum cleaner.
You probably don’t want to use the ASIN as this would commingle your inventory with others selling that ASIN and not using seller specific barcodes. The FNSKU (starts with X) will uniquely identify that unit as being one of yours. Not sure why you are having issues with printing labels. Here is the help instructions on it: https://sellercentral.amazon.com/gp/help/200141490?language=en_US&ref=ag_200141490_cont_G201021860
FWIW I use the chrome plugin AZLabels to print my labels, it handles all the formatting, etc.
Use the Amazon Scan and Label feature.
I keep trying to download the labels, but get the error message. I may have to convert to FBA before I can get the labels? I’m currently the only person on amazon selling this products (and probably for the foreseeable future), so co-mingling isn’t a worry.
I’m currently on hold for a “hazard” exemption though, so I’m waiting for that to clear. I’m also going to us AMZ Labels as suggested in another post for formatting to print with my Dymo 4XL printer.
We print our own labels for FBA. We put the FNSKU on them. So, you don’t HAVE TO use the ones you can print from Seller Central.
No.
That doesn’t conform to the guidelines.
Funky
