Apple Products

#1

Just got this email from Amazon.

Dear Seller,

Amazon is constantly working to enhance the customer experience, and one of the ways we do this is by increasing selection of the products we know customers want. As part of a new agreement with Apple, we are working with a select group of authorized resellers to offer an expanded selection of Apple and Beats products, including new releases, in Amazon’s stores.

You are receiving this message because you are currently selling, or have previously sold, Apple or Beats products. Your existing offers for those products will soon be removed from Amazon’s online store in the United States. Please contact Apple if you would like to apply to become an authorized reseller on Amazon.

To prepare for this change, you may continue selling these products on Amazon through the holiday season until January 4, 2019. If you have any remaining inventory of these products in Amazon fulfillment centers on January 5, 2019, you will need to create a removal order. Amazon will reimburse you for the return or disposal fees through February 4, 2019. Please also note you will not be able to send shipments of these products to Amazon fulfillment centers effective December 1, 2018.

Thank you for selling on Amazon,
Amazon Services

So my question is - since thats all we sell are mainly discontinued products - does that mean all apple products or just those that are still actively being manufactured. It’s a new email, so not sure if anyone else out there has been in contact with AMazon. I’ve reached out to my SFP rep to get the low down, but no answer to me email just yet.

Already a thread …

It wasn’t clear however what products.

The economics of just allowing a handful of sellers to sell Apple products will leave a void for those products that aren’t manufactured any longer. Why would these companies sell ipod 4th gens - which many won’t - when they have the green light to sell those products that are currently in Apple Stores.

I did make my push into eBay a few months ago after getting fed up with SFP, so maybe a more careful look into the website will be required.

We sell a couple of thousand products per year. So I have my doubts about being an approved Apple reseller. They want those companies with tens of thousands of sales.

The same thing happened to me and I am beside myself. We have been selling on Amazon for about 8 years as well with over 97% positive feedback as well. Amazon is about to put me out of business and the rep that answered me on my case I just opened confirmed with me its ALL Apple products. I asked, what about the Law of Resale?

If anyone comes up with more information about this, please post ASAP

Thanks<
