Hello Sellers,

Q4 is the biggest opportunity of the year — but it's also the most competitive. If you're a Brand Registered seller, you have access to a powerful (and free!) tool that many sellers underutilize: Brand Analytics. Now is the perfect time to establish your baseline metrics so you can measure the true impact of your Q4 strategies.

Here's how to use Brand Analytics to set yourself up for a data-driven holiday season.

What Is Brand Analytics?

Brand Analytics is Amazon's advanced analytics suite available to all Brand Registered sellers. It provides aggregated data on customer search behavior, purchase patterns, and brand loyalty — giving you insights into every phase of your customer's journey on Amazon. Data is generally available within 72 hours of the close of a given reporting period.

👉 You'll find it under Brands > Brand Analytics in Seller Central.

Key Dashboards to Baseline Before Q4

1. Search Query Performance Understand your sales funnel at the query level — from impressions to clicks to cart adds to purchases. This is where you'll spot conversion drop-off points to fix before peak traffic hits.

  • What to baseline now: Your top 20 search queries by impression share, click share, and conversion rate. Compare weekly and monthly trends to identify seasonal shifts.

2. Search Catalog Performance See your sales funnel at the product level. Quickly identify which ASINs are losing customer attention and where conversion issues exist.

  • What to baseline now: Click-through rate and conversion rate for your top ASINs. Flag any products with high impressions but low conversion — these are your Q4 optimization priorities.

3. Top Search Terms Discover the most popular search terms on Amazon and which products are winning clicks and conversions for those terms.

  • What to baseline now: Search frequency rank for your category's top terms, plus your click share and conversion share vs. competitors.

4. Customer Loyalty Analytics Segment your customers into Top Tier, Promising, At Risk, and Hibernating groups. See predictive lifetime value and repeat purchase behavior.

  • What to baseline now: Your customer segment distribution and repeat purchase rate. Identify "At Risk" customers you can re-engage before Q4 with Brand Tailored Promotions.

5. Market Basket Analysis See what products customers frequently purchase alongside yours.

  • What to baseline now: Top complementary products — these are bundling and cross-promotion opportunities for Q4 deals.

Your Pre-Q4 Action Plan 🙂‍↕️

Download your current reports — Pull weekly and monthly data for June and July to establish your "normal" performance baseline

Identify your top 10 search terms — Know which queries drive the most traffic to your brand today

Flag conversion gaps — Any ASIN with high impressions but below-average conversion needs attention before October

Segment your customers — Use Customer Loyalty Analytics to create Brand Tailored Promotions targeting "At Risk" and "Promising" segments now

Set comparison benchmarks — After Q4, you'll compare against these baselines to measure true holiday impact

Who Has Access?

Brand Analytics is available to all sellers with Brand Representative status in Brand Registry. To access it, you'll need:

  • Active enrollment in Amazon Brand Registry
  • Global user permissions enabled for your account
  • Secondary user permissions enabled (if you're not the primary account holder)

If you don't see "Brand Analytics" in your navigation, check your Global User Permissions settings.

💬 Are you already using Brand Analytics to prepare for Q4? Which dashboard do you find most valuable for your business? If you haven't explored it yet, what's holding you back? Let us know below — we'd love to hear how you're using data to drive your holiday strategy!

Hi everyone, I'm Sarah, Founder of Sarah Wells Bags. I've been selling on Amazon since 2013, and if I had to name one thing that's moved my business forward outside of the daily work, it's showing up to Amazon's seller events in person.

I know not everyone can travel, and plenty of value comes from right here in the forums. But when I can be in the room, a few things happen that are hard to replicate from behind a screen.

First, I get problems unstuck. At Amazon Accelerate, the Seller Café is set up for exactly this. You can bring a real question about your account, your listings, or your strategy and talk it through with someone in person. I always walk in with my questions written down ahead of time so I don't waste the chance. A short conversation has sorted out things for me that a string of cases couldn't.

Second, I meet the people behind the programs I use. Getting face time with team members across different parts of Amazon helps me see how the pieces fit together, and it gives me a real person to picture when I'm working through something later. Those connections have made me a sharper seller.

Third, and maybe most underrated, I learn from other sellers. Some of my best ideas have come from hallway conversations with people who had already worked through the exact thing I was stuck on. Sellers are generous with what they know, and being in the room gets you access to that.

If you're on the fence about going to one of these events, my honest take is that the connections and the problem solving are worth the trip on their own, before you count a single session.

On that note, the Seller Growth Summit is this week and I'll be there (and speaking during the first session-so excited). And I'm already looking ahead to Accelerate in September. Who else is planning to go? Drop a comment with the event you'll be at and your product category, and let's start a list of who to look for once we arrive. Half the value is knowing who's in the room.

Just curious if anyone is also having same issue. Just checked prices at inventory, then when main Amazon page opens, ALL competitor's offers are not showing, zero. This issue does not happen on mobile app, which shows all offers.

MANY WEEKS AGO:

Amazon: Hey, you need to get your titles down to 200 characters by [deadline].

Me: Yeah, OK. I'll work on this.

Amazon: You need to get your titles down to 200 characters by [deadline] or we'll have our very stupid and broken AI do it for you.

Me: Yes, OK, I said I'll work on this. I can't get this done in 12 seconds.

Amazon: Here are our proposed AI titles. You have 12.6 seconds to review every single listing or we'll implement these titles.

Me: NO! Dear god no! These are terrible. I will drop everything for three days and do this now.

Amazon: Are you done yet? It's been 13 whole seconds and this is VERY important.

Me: Can't I have three days?

Amazon: We needed this done last month.

Me: You never said that!

Amazon: We needed this done last month.

Me: <work work work> OK, here are the corrected, compliant titles.

Amazon: Thanks, we'll use these.

FOUR WEEKS LATER:

Amazon: Hey, remember when we made you use very many hours of your valuable time to re-title your listings to under 200 characters? Well, we have great news: Now you have to cut it down to 75. Congratulations!

Me: Wait, what?

Amazon: Yeah, but once you do that you can have the other 125 characters back in a non-title field.

Me: But that's worse. You see how that's worse, right?

Amazon: This is definitely better. You still have 200 characters! Congratulations!

Me: Why not have 10 fields of 20 characters? Or 20 fields of 10 characters? Heck, let's just have 200 fields of one character each. That's still 200 characters, so it must be just as good! <eyeroll>

Amazon: Look, just follow the new rules.

NEW RULES: You can't use these specific special characters.

Me: Hmm, I don't see colon or semicolon in the list of forbidden characters. I will use them. And I learned my lesson from last time: I'll be working on these progressively as I can carve out time.

Amazon: Don't forget to retitle your listings! Follow the rules!

Me: OK, let's try these few.

Amazon: Cool. Nice work.

Me: OK, let's do some more like that.

Amazon: Cool. Nice work.

Me: OK, now a few more.

Amazon rep 1: Hey, you have semicolons.

Me: Yeah, it's not a forbidden character.

Amazon rep 1: But it is unless you're using it grammatically correctly as a separator.

Me: That's exactly how I'm using it. I used it in all those others, too.

Amazon rep 1: Ah, I see. That should be OK then. I'll check.

Me: Darn right.

Amazon rep 2: Hey you have semicolons, and they need to go.

Me: I was told they were OK in this context. And they weren't flagged earlier.

Amazon rep 2: *ahem* I said, you have semicolons, and they need to go.

Me: Grrr. OK, I'll take out the semicolons. But there are too many commas this way; this badly messes up lists. Colons aren't forbidden, so I'll keep those and use them with commas more strategically. Time to yet again rework all of these titles.

Amazon: We've reviewed your recent changes and some of your new titles are missing item_form.

Me: Yeah, so?

Amazon: They're missing item_form.

Me: So what? That's not listed as a required part of the title.

Amazon: Oh, but it is.

Me: No, it's very much not.

Amazon: OK, no, it's not, but we meant it to be, at least for you.

Me: This is completely out of the blue. What's the rationale for this change?

Amazon: It's not a change! It was just never mentioned anywhere before just now. Some customers filter products by item_form.

Me: But item_form is in the attributes and is shown elsewhere on the detail page. Your filters should just check those attributes.

Amazon: But what if you didn't fill out that attribute, huhhhh?

Me: You force sellers to fill out attributes all the time, including irrelevant or misleading ones. I know this from experience. Just require that attribute field to be filled.

Amazon: Oh, it is, but it's now required to be in the title, too, for extra super duper superfluous repeated backup redundancy. We are really doing you a favor here. Congratulations!

Me: You're kidding, right? 75 characters total, we must include the brand name, we must include item_form, and we're still supposed to fit useful titles into what's left?

Amazon: You have the Item Highlights, you see.

Me: Then let me put the item_form in the Item Highlights field.

Amazon: BAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHA No.

Me: So a large percentage of the characters in the title proper will be information that doesn't clearly distinguish to the buyer what the item actually is, because you require them to be there as clutter.

Amazon: Now you're getting it. This is why we have rules!

Me: So I have to go through and re-re-re-re-do these titles because you keep changing the rules.

Amazon: Of course not. We can use AI to wreck your titles for you. And we totally never changed the rules.

Me: I mean, if you didn't change the rules, then your communication of them was, um, lacking. There are more accurate words to use there but they're often frowned upon when used in mixed company.

Amazon: We haven't changed the rules, and the rules are simple: 75 characters, brand name, product name, size/count, item_form, no special characters like pipes, semicolons, and colons.

Me: No colons?! Since when? That's NEVER been listed as a forbidden character! None of your previous complaints or reports flagged my titles that contain colons!

Amazon: Well we're flagging them now. Look, just because we never said before six seconds ago that you can't use colons doesn't mean you can use colons. That doesn't change based on the pesky fact that we deemed colons entirely acceptable during reviews multiple times earlier in this process. I don't understand why you are having such trouble following the rules...

I am FBM.

75% (almost on the dot) of my sales come from NOT being the featured offer. Customers have to click the See All Buying Options to buy from me 75% of the time. As of this morning, that button is now gone. I am effectively invisible to customers unless I am in the buy box. IF this is new policy - you just put a 7 figure account out of business.

All my skus still show Active on my Manage All Inventory page, but as explained above, the offer is invisible to customers. Amazon, at the time of writing this, is now Buy Box only offers.

I pray this is just a technical issue and not policy. Need to hear from others.

Any listing I click on from my inventory that opens in Amazon.com fails to show the "Other Sellers on Amazon" box. I've logged out/in, cleared cache, restarted computer, tried another browser. Nothing works to fix it. Is this happening to anyone else?

I can see it through my business prime account which uses a different email to login. Cannot see other sellers through my seller account login no matter what I do.

Maybe this isn't new and we're just now noticing, when a customer contacts Amazon now with an issue they're just handing out refunds.

We had a random refund for return to seller that was actually delivered, we only noticed because the customer purchased again and contacted us for a different shipping carrier. Support instructed us to file a Safe T claim and we got a refund. That's great I guess but just another problem to watch for, but that isn't the issue here it just led to the rest.

We then decided to check our transactions filtered for refunds only and found two more refunds where Amazon decided to just give our money away. It's a food product that isn't returnable, typically in the past if there is an issue Amazon will send us a message and we will work it out with the customer.....worst case scenario a claim is filed. None of that happened they just gave them a refund without warning or any communication. We contacted support and they gave us conflicting reasons in the same reply for the refund with these lovely instructions:

- Packaging: Ensure robust inner packaging for food products. Even if outer packaging survives transit, the contents inside can be damaged if not properly cushioned or separated.

- Product Quality: Inspect items before shipping to confirm they are not expired, leaking, or defective.

- Photographic Evidence: Take photos of products before packaging and during the packing process. This documentation strengthens SAFE-T claims if a refund is issued later.

- Buyer Communication: Proactively communicate with buyers through Buyer-Seller Messaging after delivery to address any issues before they contact Amazon Customer Service. Resolving issues directly with the buyer protects your account health.

- Listing Accuracy: Ensure your product listing accurately describes the item (ingredients, quantity, size, condition) to avoid "Item not satisfactory" claims due to mismatched expectations.

- Monitor Returns Dashboard: Regularly check your Returns and Recovery: Insights and Opportunities dashboard in Seller Central to monitor return/refund patterns and identify recurring issues.

Totally ridiculous, we're now being told how to ship things, to take pictures during the process and a lecture about communication when there was none!

Both FBM both shipped Amazon Buy shipping delivered as normal, just randomly refunded. So now apparently all a customer has to do to get a full refund is contact Amazon. No messages, no claims.....just free product.

I'm going to file claims but I doubt that will do anything here.
