Would literally pay a fee just to keep the old seller central UI.
โดย Seller_V5HlKCeFomff6

Physically feeling dizzy using the new UI, anyone experienced the same? GPT says it is visual-motion sensitivity or cybersickness due to visually busy interfaces.

I even would literally to pay a fee just to keep the old seller central UI.

Amazon needs to stop restricting footwear brands!
โดย Seller_qKMgKy24Et8Y0

Over the last couple years Amazon has continued to roll out new brand 'partnerships' that include restricting listings to 3rd party sellers. Their reasoning is to 'offer our customers a better product catalog and ensure competitive pricing'. I feel as if Amazon is self destructing their own footwear sales, most of their restricted products sit out of stock. Basic colors of Nike Air Max 270 sit out of stock in every size, countless other models out of stock. Meanwhile many of us 3rd party sellers have stock that we could sell but are locked out due to these restrictions. The other frustrating part of this is that Amazon does NOT have competitive pricing on the rare occasion they do have them in stock. FULL MSPR for the products, for example the Air Max 270's are $170. Before the restrictions hit they averaged 130-160. So Amazon is not delivering on either of their goals and it's killing the footwear market. What I would suggest is to reverse these restriction and allow 3rd party sellers to actually offer a much wider product selection and compete with each other for pricing. True capitalism produces the best markets for seller and buyers! Or if that is not possible at least allow the listings to be sold under 'used' condition. Let us help you Amazon!

USPS Adjustments is this going to be the new normal for Amazon? When Will Amazon FIX THIS?
โดย Seller_Qp7D09NCRbW7u
Amazon replied

I thought that the adjustments were over, but now I am getting new ones for September.

Does Amazon have any plans to fix this?

No other platform I sell on sends me daily shipping adjustments.

Why is this still happening?

Keep classic alive as an option, please
โดย Seller_mIs92krSxnwtf

Were any sellers consulted or polled prior to the SC redesign? I don't remember being asked, but maybe I missed an email? Consequently, everything I use regularly is either hidden, removed, or just made more difficult to understand. And aside from the general clunkiness, some little but important usability features are gone as well, i.e. no more pinch-zoom available, so mobile is often not an option for my old eyes. Is there any way to keep "classic," alive?

Remembering the gool ol' days when you could actually make money as an FBA seller
โดย Seller_KAmenjugKiu3w

I remember when Amazon FBA used to charge lower fulfillment fees for the holiday season to help sellers offset their higher holiday storage rates.

Now they charge higher holiday storage rates AND higher fulfillment fees. The holiday peak also used to be only half of Nov through Dec. Then it was Nov and Dec. And now it's from mid-Oct through mid-Jan.

And during all of this it was shipment splits and placements fees. We used to be able to send everything to 1 or 2 fulfillment centers with no placement fees.

And not they nickel and dime us for so many return related costs. There used to be no Long Term Storage Fees either-- or if there was the bar was much higher and the fees lower. Now they charge us if we don't have enough inventory in stock, too (Low Level inventory fee)!

Fulfillment and storage fees themselves were increased during all of this, too.

Organic search was much more prevalent in search results vs all the sponsored ads we see nowadays. So on top of all these new and increased fees, we now have to pay top dollar to show in search results, whereas we didn't have to rely on this as much before. They got us Amazon sellers paying top dollar competing with each other to show in search results that we used to be able to appear in organically before for free!

And while increasing all of these fees, they suppress our buy box if some random site is selling the same product at a lower cost (not factoring in their shipping our the high cost we pay for FBA). So we can't even charge a decent price to cover all these costs!

... oh, and they used to give us reasonable access to our funds instead of making us wait so much longer with this DD+10 nonsense. Cash flow is more important now than ever...

Outrageous!! Amazon is actually a platform that condones buyer fraud!!
โดย Seller_8wC4ZtzNuSPsq

A buyer left us a 1-star review.,We submitted a request to have this review examined, but the responses we received were perfunctory—mere boilerplate messages that ignored the specifics of the situation, despite our repeated explanations of the context. The buyer had purchased a pink water bottle from us but claimed via the messaging system that the color received was incorrect. We requested photographic evidence; the buyer sent photos twice—first showing a yellow bottle, then a red one. However, we do not sell—and have never sold—bottles in those colors, so it was impossible for them to have received such items. It is obvious that the buyer used artificial intelligence to alter the bottle's color in the photos, with the deliberate aim of obtaining a refund. We requested the removal of this review, but Amazon’s responses were dismissive; in short, they are condoning the buyer's blatant fraudulent behavior!

What I Learned Using Amazon Quick With My Seller Central Account
โดย Seller_N8qT7Hl1mxNbG
Amazon replied

What I Learned Using Amazon Quick With My Seller Central Account

I've spent a lot of time over the years working inside Seller Central. There is plenty of data available, but sometimes finding the number isn't the hard part. The harder part is understanding what changed and why.

Recently, I had the opportunity to test Amazon Quick with the Selling Partner plugin connected to my Seller Central account. I didn't want to test it with simple questions just to see if it worked. I wanted to use it for the same kinds of questions I actually deal with as a seller.

One of the main things I tested was a question I'm sure many sellers have asked at some point:

Why did my sales drop?

I asked Quick to look at sales, traffic, sessions, page views, conversion, Featured Offer performance, pricing, and inventory and help me understand what had changed.

That's where the testing became interesting.

Quick was able to pull together quite a bit of information, but I also learned pretty quickly not to automatically accept the first explanation it gave me.

During one of my tests, my Featured Offer performance had dropped significantly. Quick initially gave me a fairly strong explanation for what was causing it. But when I started questioning the conclusion and asked it to go back and verify the source data, the answer changed.

The data clearly showed that Featured Offer performance had declined. What the available data could not clearly prove was why it had declined.

That may sound like a small difference, but for me as a seller, it's a very important one.

After that experience, I started asking Quick to separate what the data actually proved, what the data supported, and what was still only a possible explanation.

The answers became much more useful.

I had a similar experience recently while testing listing status.

At first, Quick told me that the Listings API could only check listing status one SKU at a time. With thousands of FBA SKUs in my account, that obviously wasn't very practical.

Instead of stopping there, I asked Quick to search the available tools again.

This time it found listings_searchListingsItems, which could retrieve listings in bulk. We tested it, paginated through the full set of results, and it successfully retrieved the listings and their status information.

What I liked about the final result was that Quick didn't automatically treat listings without BUYABLE status as "Inactive" or "Suppressed." It explained that BUYABLE and DISCOVERABLE were the statuses returned by that API and that they didn't necessarily map directly to the Seller Central labels.

That's the kind of distinction I want the tool to make.

Another thing I learned during the beta was how important it is for Quick to tell me when it doesn't have access to something.

There were several times when I wanted to go further with an analysis, but the data or capability I needed wasn't available through the connector.

As a seller, I would much rather hear:

"I don't have the data needed to determine that."

than get a confident answer based on incomplete information.

The connection itself was also part of my testing. I went through disconnecting, reconnecting, signing out and back in, and later tried the newer Seller Central connection on both Quick web and desktop.

The newer permission setup was much easier for me to understand because I could clearly see areas marked View, Edit, or None. I also liked having the read and write capabilities clearly separated.

Most of my testing has intentionally been read-only.

For now, that's where I'm most comfortable. I'm happy for Quick to retrieve my data, analyze it, compare things, and tell me what it thinks I should investigate.

Actually making a change in Seller Central is different.

My preference right now is simple:

Read and analyze freely. Recommend freely. Ask me before making changes.

Especially with pricing, listings, inventory, or anything involving multiple SKUs, I want to know exactly what is going to change before I approve it.

After all of this testing, I think the biggest opportunity for Quick isn't simply giving me a number that I could already find somewhere in Seller Central.

It's helping me connect the dots.

If my sales are down, I don't want to stop at "sales are down." I want to know what happened to traffic, conversion, Featured Offer performance, pricing, and inventory during the same period.

That's where I think this can become really useful for sellers.

My biggest lesson so far is also pretty simple:

Don't be afraid to question the first answer.

Ask what data was used. Ask what's missing. Ask whether something is proven by the data or is only a possible explanation. And if an answer doesn't look right, ask the tool to check again.

I've had several situations where doing exactly that gave me a much better answer.

I'm still testing Amazon Quick, and I'm sure I'll learn more as the Selling Partner plugin develops. But I've already changed the way I interact with it based on what I've experienced during the beta.

For anyone else who has started using it, I'm curious: what Seller Central questions or workflows have you found most useful so far?
