Trouble getting approval to use Brand name
by Seller_puqK72TpVkcdM

Good day, dear people,

I am very new to Amazon selling and need help navigating the Brand Approval process.

I sell Miyuki beads from Japan. I buy from an authorized distributor in the US. However, I keep getting denied when I apply to use the brand name "Miyuki".

My first try, I submitted a copy of an invoice showing that I had placed a large order with the distributor. My name and address on the account on the invoice perfectly matches the name and address on file with Amazon. I was rejected saying the information was insufficient.

For second attempt, I took 10 invoices and merged them all into one PDF file for the ease of uploading. I thought 10 invoices would prove a pattern of purchases. This time I was rejected because "it appears that the files were tampered with”. The PDF files came directly in email from the distributor, and the only manipulation I did was to merge them into one file.

I know that Amazon uses AI to screen some of these requests but how do you get past AI to a human with common sense? I requested that they call me to try and straighten this out, but they just rejected my request again.

I tried a third time to answer the last rejection, but I was not allowed to upload any files. The app let me navigate to where the files were, but would not let me select them. So I cannot upload the individual files proving that they were not tampered with.

I'm very glad that name brands are protected fiercely by Amazon, but when you are on the wrong side of that ferocity clamoring to get in, it can be very frustrating. I know I should enter my case ID, but I'm afraid that if I navigate away from this window I will lose everything I've written. So I will post this, and then go find the case ID and append it or put it in a comment.

Thank for trying to help

Our products are all lithium starter batteries for traditional powersports (gas powered motorcycles/scooters/ATV/UTV). We have 3 items taken down due to Amazon wrongly categorizing them as E-mobility(Ebikes, EVs) batteries. All our appeals have been rejected. And now they are asking us to submit E-Mobility test certificates (cost $20k each item) that we are not required to have (AND our products are not even E-mobility products). Anyone from Amazon can help with this?

Dear Amazon Seller Support Team,

I am in the process of starting my business on Amazon and I have encountered some difficulties. I have tried to purchase products to sell, but many items appear as restricted. In addition, several suppliers have informed me that their invoices are not being accepted by Amazon.

I would like to request guidance on:

1. What specific requirements must invoices meet to be accepted by Amazon?

2. What is the recommended procedure to start selling products that are not restricted?

3. Are there official resources or guides I can follow to ensure compliance with Amazon’s policies?

Thank you very much for your support. I look forward to your guidance so I can move forward correctly in this process.

Build to Order.
by Seller_wP06ObHUTB6Y7

I have an idea for another product related to the one I already sell. The problem is that this product would have to be build-to-order as I don't want to pay up-front for the cost of manufacturing something that is going to sit on the shelves. I currently have the "Handling Time" set to 5 days for my current product, but Amazon clearly ignored this when it allowed a customer to buy something with "Two Day Delivery" and said that the product would in fact be shipped within a day to meet this.

I cannot turn off "Two Day Delivery" in my shipping template. Amazon ignores "Handling Time". How do I market a build-to-order product?

How to fix variation problem.
by Seller_wP06ObHUTB6Y7
Amazon replied

I had an individual account and every time I clicked on a variation, it temporarily put a "!" next to Variations. A short time later, the "!" would go away, and no errors would be visible.

Now I've upgraded to a professional account. It is saying "Your child SKU [M4-01MR-440V] is not setup correctly. Check if there are any product related errors that prevented child SKU creation. Fix them first before trying to create any relationship." Again, when I go to the variation, a "!" appears next to Variations. A short time later, the "!" goes away and no errors are visible.

How do I fix my mystery problem?

Hello everyone,

I have a question regarding the correct process for submitting a new product listing on Amazon US when the trademark registration has not yet been officially filed.

I have already created my entire product listing and assigned it to the correct category. I intend to sell the product under a specific brand name.

I verified that this brand name is currently available in the U.S. (not used or registered by another company), but I haven’t filed the trademark yet because I am still waiting to receive the final physical prototype from my supplier.

Once I validate the prototype, I will immediately file the trademark registration.

However, I would like to proceed with submitting my product listing in the meantime.

My question is:

➡️ Is it allowed to submit a new product listing under a brand name that is not yet officially filed or registered as a trademark?

If not, what is the recommended process?

Should I submit the listing without a brand and update it later once the trademark is filed, or is there a specific procedure to follow to avoid issues with the listing or with Brand Registry in the future?

I would really appreciate any guidance or feedback from sellers who have been through this situation, or from anyone familiar with the correct approach.

Thank you in advance for your help!

It has been a nightmare to get our product descriptions and title edits updated. I have lost so many hours getting this account dialed in, responding to unexpected notifications from Amazon to re-validate account info that was previously approved and now waiting 4+ days for updated product descriptions to populate. Customer service is unable to assist with expediting the review time, every time I contact them about the title/description updates it seems to restart the 48 hr waiting period. Highly frustrating, especially on a peak shopping weekend to have a product description showing as "proposed_value".

About New Seller Community

Welcome to the New Seller Community, we're excited you're here!

As a new seller and member of the community, you'll have the ability to ask questions, get advice from peers, and learn from educational posts highlighting best practices and programs available to help you sell in Amazon's store during your first 18 months. We hope you'll become an active member by posting, commenting, and sharing your experience with other new sellers. Once a seller reaches 18 months of being part of the New Seller Community, they will be automatically removed from the group and will be provided an in-forum notification once removed.

Just getting started? We recommend visiting these threads to acquaint yourself with the New Seller Community.
Welcome to the New Seller Community

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Who is eligible for membership in the New Seller Community and how can I join?
Only sellers registered to sell in Amazon's store for less than 18 months are eligible to participate in the New Seller group. You will be automatically added to this group based on your eligibility. You will receive a notification before you are removed from the group.
  2. I'm new to selling in Amazon's store. Why don't I have access to this group?
We're adding new sellers to the group every few days, so there might be a short delay between the time you're approved and when you can post. If you don't yet have access, please check back in a couple of days. In the meantime, we encourage you to visit other threads in Seller Forums to ask a question or take part in a discussion.
  3. Who can contribute and post in the New Seller Community?
All Seller Forums members can read New Seller group threads but only group members can post or interact in the New Seller group.
  4. Can I still post and engage in the larger Amazon seller forum after I leave the New Seller Community?
Absolutely! The purpose of this change is not to remove you from the broader seller community. After your 18-month tenure is up and you transition out of the New Seller group, you'll still be able to participate fully in the general Amazon seller forums just like all of thousands of other sellers who are not a part of a group today.
  5. What is the reasoning behind this 18-month tenure?
The New Seller Community group was created to provide specialized support and resources for individuals who are new to selling with Amazon. After 18 months, we've found that most sellers have developed a solid foundation and are ready to engage beyond just the "new seller" designation and even have the ability to share their experiences and guidance with others. Transitioning members out of the New Seller group at that 18-month mark allows us to keep the community focused on supporting those who are truly in the earliest stages of their Amazon selling journey. It ensures the group remains useful and welcoming for new sellers coming in. Of course, just because you leave the New Seller group doesn't mean you lose access to the wealth of information and community support available to all Amazon sellers.
  6. How do I opt-out of the New Seller Community?
If you decide you don't want to be a member of the New Seller group, you may opt-out here at any time. Please note that removal can take up to 7 business days.
