Dear Amazon Sellers and Experts,
I am reaching out to this community with the hope of finding guidance, support, and possibly a helping hand in what has become a difficult situation for me as a new Amazon seller.
Back in Jan 2025, after extensive research and careful planning, I selected 7 products using Jungle Scout data and insights. I ensured the products had good demand, decent profit margins, and relatively manageable competition. Based on that, I invested around $10,000 USD, which covered inventory, shipping, labeling, FBA prep, and related expenses.
My listings went live since end of Feb 2025, and everything seemed ready for success. Unfortunately, it's now been over 90 days, and I haven't made a single sale. I’ve tried to optimize titles, images, and bullet points. Despite my efforts, the products are just sitting in Amazon's warehouse.
Meanwhile, I’m constantly getting charged monthly FBA storage fees, fulfillment fees, and other Amazon-related charges, all of which are being debited from my personal credit card. I am now at a point where I'm facing a complete loss, with a growing financial burden and no sign of recovery.
I understand there are many variables at play—pricing, listing visibility, PPC, competition, etc.—but I truly feel lost now and don’t know what to do next.
I’m humbly requesting:
- Honest advice from experienced sellers—what should I do differently to get sales going?
- Suggestions on listing improvements, PPC strategy, or any practical ideas that have worked for you.
- If anyone is willing to offer free consultation or a quick audit of my listings, I’d be truly grateful.
- Any ideas for liquidating slow-moving inventory if there’s no way forward to at least the actual product cost.
This is my first attempt at building a business on Amazon, and I sincerely believed in the potential. I’m not ready to give up yet—but I can’t afford to keep burning through money without results either.
Thank you in advance to anyone willing to share their experience or guidance. Even a few helpful tips could make a world of difference right now.
Warm regards,
Team Xpress VirtuOcart
Dear Amazon Seller Community,
This post not just out of frustration, but with the hope that someone who’s walked this path before might offer clarity or support. After working hard to build my Amazon business, it now feels like everything is slipping away because of a single product listing.
I chose a well-known health and wellness website as my supplier. They offer competitive pricing, and before purchasing, I did my due diligence — I contacted 7–8 major brands listed on their site. Most of them confirmed that this retailer is their authorized seller, and some even listed this supplier under the "Where to Buy" section of their official websites.
Feeling confident, I sourced products, including one from a very popular brand, and listed them on Amazon. Soon after listing the item, my account was deactivated due to product authenticity concerns related to that ASIN.
I submitted the invoice for the product, but Amazon rejected it and requested supply chain documentation. I contacted my supplier, and their response was that — while they are a legitimate reseller — they are not able to provide manufacturer resale authorization or documents that Amazon typically requests.
Not giving up, I contacted the brand directly. They confirmed that my supplier is not sourcing directly from them, and they’re unsure where my supplier is obtaining the stock.
To be clear, I only received two orders on the affected product, and I issued full refunds to both customers — even though no complaints were made. I did not intend to violate any policy. My intent was always to sell genuine products from a reputable retailer. I now understand the importance of sourcing only through verifiable and authorized supply chains.
I’ve appealed multiple times, and I’ve been transparent throughout. But each response from Amazon has been a rejection.
I’m reaching out to this community to ask:
I built this business from scratch with hope, hard work, and a sincere desire to succeed honestly. I’m open to all advice and guidance.
Thank you in advance for reading and supporting.
— A seller trying to do it right
Having just created a Seller account, I came to the forums in hope of finding information helpful for beginners, but I was a bit disappointed to see such negative sentiment. That said, knowing negative feedback is often the loudest, I figure there must some of you who are still going strong in 2025.
So, who is enjoying the Seller in experience in 2025, and what's the best piece of advice you could give a newbie?
Background: I work a 9-5 and I'm looking into this as a way to bring in extra money, either through FBA or FBM (haven't decided yet). I don't have a private label product but would be interested in going that route once I've become familiar with the platform and first found success with OA or wholesale.
I've found Seller University to be helpful for understanding the platform, but it doesn't go as deep into the principles behind e-commerce as I was hoping. Shipping, fulfillment, and pricing, I feel good about. Product Discovery is where I'm hung up and would appreciate guidance. What are you using for product discovery? Second, any tips for Sourcing Suppliers? What qualities do possess as a seller that you believe have helped you secure sourcing deals?
Thanks,
Ciabatta
With the increase in tariffs which increase the cost of my products. Amazon still has competitive price way lower than MSRP. They have competitive price at $7.99 but the lowest price is $10. When will amazon increase the competitive price so I can get in the buybox. no sellers are getting the buybox currently.

A reseller listed our product outside Amazon at a very low price. It is almost half of the MSRP. Amazon detected it and considered it as the competitive price. Hence, our amazon listing got suppressed at its supposed MSRP price.
We opened multiple case with Amazon support stating that we are the brand owner and we set the MSRP. In addition, we already reached out to this retailer and they said that they don't want to cooperate at all. We planned to send a cease and desist letter to the reseller however, we don't have a contract to enforce it either.
Any advice?
We received 92 pricing violations today.
There are other sellers with higher prices on many of them. Amazon, do I seriously have to spend all day on this?
Oh wait, now it's 125. This has never happened before.
What is going on?!
I have several listings (mostly stickers and sticker packs). Most of the stickers are my designs and not being offered elsewhere on Amazon. My sticker listings all have variations for 1 sticker up to a pack of 20. Every new listing I create gets deactivated. For example - 1 single 3.25" sticker I list for $3.00 and a pack of 20 of the same sticker typically for $20-$30. I have set min/max prices, I have lowered prices to the point that i'm not going to make money if an item sells, but they still get deactivated. Very frustrating! Any suggestions?
Dear Amazon Team,
We are writing to report malicious competitive behavior aimed at our listings. We have compiled evidence to request Amazon’s intervention in addressing the separation of variants and adult content labeling issues, and to improve the review process for unmerging variant listings.
1.Since March 18, over 40 forced variant separations have occurred likely caused by competitors or malicious actors. These separations have harmed visibility, reviews, and sales.
2.We encountered detrimental copyright complaints and listing flagged for including adult content which inflicted some losses.
On April 10, 2025, listing was flagged for copyright infringement due to an image claim. We filed a DMCA appeal, successfully restoring our listing
On April 4, 2025, the listing was flagged for adult content, which led to its removal from search results. This was due to malicious actions by competitors. We contacted seller support regarding the Sexually Explicit Products Review
While the listing was not suspended, the adult content flag caused us to lose the Best Seller Badge, leading to a significant drop in sales—down to half of the usual volume—resulting in substantial losses.
3.We conducted an in-depth investigation into the malicious separation of our listing variations. Our compliant parent-child listings have been repeatedly separated without Amazon’s approval. We found evidence suggesting some internal Amazon employees may be colluding with external service providers to force these separations. This exploitation undermines the integrity of the marketplace and harms legitimate sellers. We urge Amazon to investigate this matter thoroughly, take action against those involved, and strengthen safeguards to prevent future incidents.
Due to repeated malicious attacks, we suffered severe losses. These attacks—forced variant separations, false adult content flags, and malicious copyright complaints—are difficult to address through individual seller. We request Amazon to:
Accelerate investigation and resolution of attacks on our listings.
Improve complaint review processes, especially for variant separations, copyright, and adult content flags.
Support compliant brands like ours that operate sustainably and follow the rules.
Kind regards
