Hi Sellers,
Congratulations on making it through Prime Day! 🎉 Whether you crushed your sales goals or learned valuable lessons for next time, there's one thing every seller should do right now: check your Account Health Rating (AHR).
High-volume events like Prime Day can amplify small issues into bigger problems. Here's what to watch and how to stay ahead.
What is Your Account Health Rating?
Your AHR is a color-coded score ranging from 0 to 1,000 that reflects your compliance with Amazon's policies. It categorizes your account into three zones:
- 🟢 Healthy (200+) — You're in good standing
- 🟡 At Risk (100–199) — Warning zone; you're vulnerable to deactivation if violations continue
- 🔴 Unhealthy (0–99) — Immediate action required to avoid account deactivation
Your score decreases with policy violations but improves through violation resolution and successful order fulfillment. It operates on a rolling 180-day window, so Prime Day activity will factor into your score for the next six months.
Post-Prime Day Metrics to Monitor
1. Order Defect Rate (ODR)
Your ODR must stay below 1%. After a high-volume event, watch for:
- Negative feedback from delayed shipments or inventory issues
- A-to-Z Guarantee claims from buyers who didn't receive items on time
- Credit card chargebacks
2. Late Shipment Rate (LSR)
If you're seller-fulfilled, did the Prime Day rush cause any ship confirmations to slip past the expected ship date? Keep your LSR under 4%.
3. Policy Violations
Increased sales volume means more eyes on your listings. Watch your Performance Notifications for any new:
- Product authenticity complaints
- Product condition complaints
- Listing policy violations
4. Voice of the Customer (VoC)
Check for ASINs that may have shifted from "Good" to "Fair" or "Poor" CX Health status after the event. Address these before they escalate.
Proactive Steps to Take This Week 📌
Review your Account Health Dashboard — Look for any new violations or warnings
Check Performance Notifications — Respond to any flagged issues within 24 hours
Download your returns report — Identify any Prime Day-related return spikes
