Whether you're a brand-new seller or have been at this for years, understanding your Account Health Dashboard is one of the most impactful things you can do to protect your business. Let's break it down.
Best Practices for Navigating Your Account Health Dashboard
Your Account Health Dashboard (AHD) is your command center for understanding how Amazon views your account. Here's how to use it effectively:
- Check it regularly — Make it part of your daily routine. Navigate to Performance > Account Health in Seller Central to see your current standing at a glance.
- Understand your Account Health Rating (AHR) — The AHR is a color-coded numerical score that ranges from 0 to 1,000 and provides near real-time status of your account's health, letting you know if your selling account in a particular store is at risk of deactivation
- Address violations promptly — When you see a notification, respond within 24 hours. The faster you act, the less impact on your account.
- Monitor all sections — Pay attention to Product Policy Compliance, Shipping Performance, and Customer Service metrics. Each one contributes to your overall health.

Staying Compliant with Amazon's Policies
Policy compliance isn't just about avoiding violations — it's about building a sustainable business. Here are the key areas to keep on your radar:
- Product authenticity & condition — Ensure your listings accurately represent what customers receive
- Intellectual property — Respect trademarks, copyrights, and brand protections. If you receive a violation notice, respond with a clear Plan of Action
- Customer reviews — Never manipulate reviews. Focus on delivering great experiences that earn organic feedback
- Restricted products — Verify your products aren't in restricted categories before listing
