Section 3 and drop Shipping
by Seller_fhk1IIJxQfTe7

Hello Everyone,

I got a section 3 and drop shipping violation since January. I did not do drop shipping. I ordered from a wholesale supplier at my warehouse address removed the supplier packaging labels and receipts. I forgot to put Amazon sku labels but other that I did everything else. I even bought shipping labels through Amazon seller central. My VTR was 100% and OTD low due to recent snow storm. No customer feedback or anything like that. Can someone help with this matter. Thank you.

Hey Amazon sellers!

One of the most frequently discussed topics in our community is drop shipping - and for good reason! While it can be an attractive way to scale your business, understanding Amazon's policies is crucial to protect your selling privileges and maintain customer trust.

Before we dive into the specifics, let's address why this matters: improper drop shipping practices can lead to account suspension, negative customer experiences, and potential legal issues. Getting it right from the start is essential for your business's long-term success.

What exactly is drop shipping on Amazon? It's when you use a third party to fulfill orders directly to customers. Here's the key thing to remember: this is only allowed when you're clearly identified as the seller of record.

✅ The Right Way to Drop Ship:

When using a third-party fulfillment service, always ensure:

  • You're the only seller identified on all packaging, invoices, and documentation
  • Your business removes or replaces any third-party identifying information before shipping
  • You handle all customer returns and comply with Amazon's policies
  • You maintain full responsibility as outlined in the Business Solutions Agreement (BSA)

❌ What's Not Allowed:

  • Purchasing products from another seller (including Amazon) and having them ship directly to customers
  • Allowing third-party supplier information to appear on any customer-facing materials
  • Using packing slips or invoices with anyone else's business name or contact details

Hello,

My Amazon seller account was recently deactivated citing a Drop Shipping Policy violation. I am hoping someone here can offer guidance or has experienced a similar situation.

My situation: I am a retail arbitrage seller. I personally purchase all products from Walmart, physically receive and store all inventory at my registered home address, and personally pack and ship every single order via USPS in plain brown boxes. I remove all third-party receipts and packing slips before every shipment. I have never used a drop shipping service.

My first appeal was rejected because I only submitted purchase receipts without any explanation of my fulfillment process. I have since submitted a comprehensive Plan of Action including:

Full written explanation of my fulfillment operations

EIN documentation

Business bank statements

Walmart purchase invoices covering the past 30 days

Photographs of my physical inventory storage and shipping setup

I have also emailed account-health-post-enforcement-support@amazon.com, seller-performance@amazon.com, jeff@amazon.com, and resolution-sellers@amazon.com with my full appeal package.

Has anyone successfully reinstated their account after a drop shipping violation as a retail arbitrage seller? Any advice on next steps or escalation paths would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

section 3 drop shipping voilation
by Seller_BHOMMoxmFR21A

During the peak season we made a shipping mistake where the sender name and address on some of our shipping labels were different from our registered business address. Because of this issue, Amazon deactivated our seller account under Section 3 of the Amazon Business Solutions Agreement.

We understand that this happened due to an operational mistake during a period of very high order volume. Since then, we have prepared a detailed Plan of Action and implemented strict internal controls to ensure that all shipments are generated only through our company carrier accounts and verified before dispatch.

However, despite submitting appeals, our account has not yet been reinstated and we are not receiving clear guidance on what additional steps Amazon expects from us.

We would sincerely appreciate guidance from anyone experienced with Amazon account reinstatement, particularly regarding Section 3 violations related to shipping label information or drop-shipping concerns.

If anyone can advise us on the correct procedure to resolve this issue and successfully reinstate the account, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your time and support.

Hello Amazon Seller Community and Moderators,

I am seeking guidance regarding an ongoing verification review on my seller account related to the Drop Shipping policy.

My business operates as a traditional seller-fulfilled model and does not use drop shipping.

All inventory is purchased in advance, received, and stored at my storage location in South Florida before any orders are fulfilled. When a customer places an order, the item is picked, packed, and shipped directly by my team using Amazon Buy Shipping so that tracking and shipment activity can be verified within Amazon systems.

Over the past several days I have submitted multiple documentation packages to support this review, including:

• Supplier invoices and purchase documentation

• Supply chain summary linking ASINs to suppliers

• Order fulfillment reports with tracking numbers

• Carrier delivery confirmations (UPS / USPS / FedEx)

• Documentation of my storage location and fulfillment workflow

• Proof of Amazon Buy Shipping usage

My goal has been to provide full transparency and clearly demonstrate that:

• Inventory is purchased before sales occur

• Products are stored and controlled by the business

• Orders are fulfilled directly by the seller

Since this review is still in progress, I wanted to ask the community if there are any additional types of documentation that are typically helpful in resolving this type of verification.

If any moderators or experienced sellers have insight into what additional information may help clarify compliance with the Drop Shipping policy, I would greatly appreciate the guidance.

Thank you for your time and support.

My Amazon.com seller account was deactivated under Section 3 for violation of the Drop Shipping policy. I now understand that I sourced from retail/online suppliers and this does not meet Amazon’s requirements.

I have submitted two appeals explaining that I stopped all drop shipping, removed the affected ASINs, and plan to use FBA and compliant wholesale suppliers going forward. Both appeals were rejected with the message that I have not provided sufficient information. Account Health support told me I must provide invoices showing that I own inventory and that I am not purchasing from another retailer and shipping directly to customers.

The problem is: for the past orders I only have retail‑style invoices/receipts, not wholesale invoices. I want to be completely honest about that.

My questions for the community and any moderators are:

In a Section 3 drop‑shipping case like this, without proper wholesale invoices, is there any realistic path to full reinstatement?

Should I stop sending further appeals and instead focus on the 60‑day timeline and requesting fund disbursement, then plan a new, fully compliant business model for the future?

I appreciate any guidance. I understand I made mistakes and I am not asking for shortcuts—just clarity on whether continued appeals make sense in this situation.

Hello,

My seller account is currently under review for suspected drop shipping activity and my disbursements are on hold.

I fully understand Amazon’s drop shipping policy and I do not use any third-party retail fulfillment services. All orders are fulfilled directly from my warehouse in Miami, Florida.

I have already submitted:

• supplier invoices

• a full report of my last 30 days of orders

• carrier tracking numbers

• proof of delivery

• photos of my warehouse and packing station

All shipments originate from the Miami / Hialeah area and the tracking numbers are verifiable on UPS, USPS, and FedEx websites.

At this point, I am unsure if any additional information is required for the review.

If any moderator could help review my situation or advise what additional documentation may be needed, I would greatly appreciate it.

If needed, I can provide my Case ID and Seller ID to assist with the review.

Thank you for your time.

Account deactivated May 16 for a Drop Shipping policy violation. I think it's a false flag. Details below.

Background:

- I'm the registered brand owner of a veterinary pharmaceutical product: FDA NDC labeler of record, USPTO trademark, enrolled in Amazon Brand Registry. An NDC labeler code isn't issued to drop shippers.

- ~80% of sales are FBA. The other ~20% are FBM, picked/packed/shipped from my own warehouse via a contracted 3PL.

Likely root cause: my 3PL was dropping packages at UPS/USPS facilities a few miles from the warehouse instead of using scheduled pickups. The first carrier scan showed the carrier facility rather than my warehouse address, which the automated system may have read as a third-party origin.

Changes made:

- Switched to scheduled carrier pickups from the warehouse so the first scan is at my address

- Using Amazon Buy Shipping for all FBM labels

- Keeping dispatch logs and running monthly 3PL audits

Evidence submitted: NDC registration, 3PL agreement and payment proof, supplier/manufacturing docs, trademark, shipping labels showing the warehouse as ship-from, inventory photos, 90-day FBM tracking report.

Questions:

1. Is this POA missing anything?

2. Did scheduled pickup plus Buy Shipping resolve the scan-origin issue for you?

3. How long did reactivation take?

mods please take a look at it.

Hello Sellers and Amazon Team,

I am posting here to seek guidance and clarification regarding the deactivation of my Amazon seller account due to an alleged Drop Shipping policy violation.

Reason for Deactivation:

My account was deactivated under Amazon’s Drop Shipping policy. However, I would like to clarify that I have never engaged in drop shipping as defined by Amazon. I do not purchase products from other online retailers to fulfill customer orders, nor do I allow third parties to ship orders directly to customers on my behalf.

All products sold through my account were:

Sourced from legitimate suppliers

Purchased and owned by me prior to sale

Shipped by me directly to customers

Despite this, my account was deactivated, and I am trying to better understand what activity or signals may have led to the determination that my account was engaged in drop shipping.

Actions Taken Since Deactivation:

Since the deactivation, I have:

Thoroughly reviewed Amazon’s Drop Shipping and Fulfillment policies

Reviewed my order fulfillment workflows to ensure full compliance

Organized and retained supplier invoices and documentation to clearly demonstrate inventory ownership and legitimate sourcing

Made adjustments to ensure all future operations align strictly with Amazon’s policies

Request for Guidance:

I would greatly appreciate any insight from experienced sellers or Amazon representatives on:

Common triggers or indicators that may lead to a drop shipping determination

How best to clarify non-drop-shipping fulfillment practices in an appeal

Any additional steps or documentation that could help demonstrate compliance

My intent is to operate transparently, compliantly, and long-term on Amazon, and I am fully committed to meeting all policy requirements.

One of the most annoying and destructive issues are arbitage ebay sellers drop shipping products from amazon.

There is software which is pulling Amazon listings and then sellers use these listings to drop ship[ to ebay at higher margins.

This has the effect that the brand then receives returns and a concept that their products are overpriced. It also opens the brand up to re-seller abuse.

I know this is happening as I only sell onAmazon and I see these unauthorised resellers with my products amongst hundreds of miscelaneous products. and in many cases it says in the listing fullfillled by amazon.

One reseller said he couldnt remove it as it automatically renews.

I know that there ebay seller and amazon buyer identities will be different .

Interested on what is Amazons stand on this.
